Free + legal = Impossible

You have to pay for the licensing and everything. Anything on the internet is going to be illegal.

Might as well just search for the mp3 on google.
That's what I do. Maybe that's illegal too.

We used to use Limewire.
Not anymore though.
If I just need a song I record it off of youtube or purevolume.

Yup. Limewire is illegal. Downloading free Mp3's, programs, etc = illegal.

I've downloaded countless programs, movies, etc. I mean, I've probably hijacked thousands of dollars worth of stuff. If I wanted to, I could download Photoshop CS3 (worth over $2000) for free. You've got to be a fool to tell me that's not illegal!

I'm quite content with using Limewire even though the theatre teacher at my school is currently battling a lawsuit for using it. Apparently she could be losing hundreds of thousands of dollars _unsure.gif

I'm actually listening to music on Limewire right now, haha. It's a miracle worker.

It seems like all of you guys have quit & despise Limewire! :O

*hides in corner*
Yes, i still use it. Actually not as much anymore. Since it effed up my computer one time but trying to go to mp3 sites is a lot of trouble for me, and those are filled with popups too. Unless I'm going to the wrong ones. mellow.gif

Well, so far they aren't charging me any money...
If i was a more decent person i would use iTunes, but since I don't have that money and i have too much music, then well, yeah. Besides those are licensed and then I can't upload them on MySpace!

I'll stop ranting.

Limewire is illegal fsho!

If you use BT, google Torrent-Tatty

They compile the 100 top songs every week for download.

I guess my disclaimer is that I did not provide a link, and the organization heavily recommends that if you like a song, buy it on iTunes. 99 is nothing! It's less than vending machine soda!!

I've download over two thousand songs off limewire. I've had it for over two years. It hasnt done anything to my computer _unsure.gif

And, I've always wondered. If limewire is illegal, why is it downloadable on http://www.download.com/, (which millions have already d/l) which is sponsored by the largest companies in the world such as google?

Wrong. Backdoors and workarounds = free + legal :)
More effort, yes. Free, yes. Legal, yes.

pandora is still free, but it's only an internet radio site... you don't download. Unfortunately the government is trying to make them pay more for their liscencing (SP?!?) and such so a lot of the internet radio sites are closing down. They are actaully having a day of silence today...
