I say it looks really nice. You don't seem too rusty to me. And the images that you used are really emotional, which I like. _smile.gif

I find that there's nothing wrong with your actual technique, but some of the image placements are somewhat odd imo. For example, I wouldn't blend into faces/heads because I find that generally turns out somewhat choppy (bottom right head, top middle left temple/chin, center forehead). However, I feel that it works for the middle right, as the focus of that individual picture is just the child's expressive eyes. (Did you forget to blend that image and the center one? There's a vertical line of maybe a centimeter between them.. don't know if that's meant to be there or if you forgot..)

Another thing in terms of image placement and blending that I found to be somewhat odd-looking was the blend between the two left images on the bottom. I feel that the blend is too abrupt right above the sign, and the color change is too.. I don't know, sudden? But to be honest, I don't know how I would've done it.

I had a hard time seeing the picture in the top middle right area, and I think it blends oddly with the top right corner because it blends into a person's face. It also doesn't have the same feel as the other images used in this blend. I think the blend could've done without, but it seems there needed to be a placeholder right there (because without an image there, it would've just been a hole, right?)

BUT I think the placement of the bottom center image is perfect, and how it blends into the other images is just divine. pinch.gif It's not a bad blend, I swear, I just feel like I'm saying "OH THIS SUCKS," because I had so much criticism about it.

It look like a black version of the kid from the grunge. Yes I know poverty is scary... we need to do something about it. Your design show a lot of sympathy.
