It's very cute, and a good idea, but I think that there should be some sort of light background because the white space makes it look kind of plain.

ah. first neopets theme layout. pretty good. the font that neopets use is hefkalum is believe. i think i got the spelling wrong.

yuo could try doing transparent toolbars. a little too much grey since you put scrollbars in the entries as well.

it's cute, but massive amounts of scroll bars! i'd take the scrolled posts stuff out,and have just the one scroll bar, also it's a bit misaligned in 800*600 resolution
