alright, i've had my macbook for a while, but i still don't know how to do this. okay, when i close my computer's lid, it automatically goes to sleep. is there a way to disable that? maybe a third-party program? it's not really a big deal, but it'd always be nice to keep my computer on while the lid is closed, to listen to music or to keep aim online, just in case i get a message when i'm out or something. thanks in advance. :]

T.T well, thanks anyways. i'll just keep searching somewhere. :D |

There should be. I have a Toshiba Satellite U205 and I have an option I can click on called Power Properties Power Saver or something like that. Basically I can dictate what to do when I close the lid, be it hibernate, shut down, or do nothing. I can also use that section to completely disable hibernation/standby completely.

Try using: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/22211/insomniax or http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo...7&mode=info Apple doesn't provide a way to disable this feature through the command prompt. |

(: thanks for your help. |
