So, I've decided to go to Greece in September with some friends. Going away together is always SO much fun, especially being independent and whatnot... So where are some places you've been away with friends, and what did you get up to?

On school trips, I've been to Spain 3 times, Bath 3 times, Venice, Dorset, and Costa Rica, all more or less unsuperised by teachers, although they were present to prevent us dying...

Sneaking out of a Venetian Hotel at 2AM, all James Bond stylie... SO funny.

Aww lucky. Those places would be so fun to go to. I never been out of the usa with any of my friends (except canada lol).

School trips: C.O.S.I, Cedar Point

I went to Las Vegas with my friend and that was fun..

Only to Hawaii last summer. Flying solo is so much easier than traveling with family.

Greece! Oh, I so want to go there...I hope you have fun (take loads of pictures)!

I've been to various local camps for band trips (how dull), we've gone slightly further to Vancouver Island for a short trip.

But the big one was Spring 2006, to Cuba. We went during Spring Break for a full week. Yeah, Cuba was a bit dodgy, lol, but the beaches were spectacular. Just gorgeous. The architecture in parts of downtown Havana were beautiful as well. It's one of those experiences I'll never forget.

I will.... To be honest, I'm not sure how much 'culture' will be involved... More just a sun and sand type thing, I think.

Bath... did you enjoy Bath? There wasn't much to it, as far as I could tell. Bristol, however, was amazing.

Edit:// OMG, James, speaking of Bristol, when's the new Skins series premiering?

Well, the city itself is really pretty, but not much more than that. When I've been though, it's been for MUN conferences, each time with over 1,000 people, with about 400 of us in the same hotel... gets fun REALLY quickly.

And I don't know... The commercials are back on T.V. at the moment, but that's just because it's starting a run on C4... I want it NOW, though. CassieMaxxieChris <3

Mmm... I got pissed of with the whole 'I love Michelle and the world is against me, even though Cassie, who is more attractive and sweet is in love with ME,' thing.

OMG.

GET ON TOPIC, CARRIE.

Okay, okay, sorry *grins sheepishly*

But seriously, that's what's awesome about living in Europe. So many cool places are within arms reach (and not to mention a cheap flight away). That's one of my biggest regrets about my time in London, that I didn't go outside Britain. I went on intra-Britain school sponsored trips to Bath, Bristol, Glastonbury (*snore*), and Brighton.

I went to Ecuador when I was 15, with a family. Its cool b/c you get to experiance a different culture even if you go just for sand and sun.

It is really good. My friend and her boyfriend just booked flights to Strazburg for A PENNY.

Still. Carbon Footprint central!

Nowhere :(

I'm thinking of doing the exchange to Germany this next summer. There'd be lots of culture involved, seeing as I'd live with a family for a couple months.

WHAT?!?!

Sammi, I'm *thiiiiis* close to stealing your genes.

The most I've ever gone was on a college trip up to San Francisco. We stayed overnight at the hotel and while teeeechnically we weren't supposed to leave the assigned hotel rooms past 10:00...uh, yeah. No. A few of us, despite not bringing any swimsuits, snuck out of the hotel, went to the express hotel down the street, and used the pool until it closed. Then off to another room very a rather shameful game of truth or dare. Still don't want to know the stuff that was admitted there. ):
