I didn't vote simply because you forgot age eighteen. I think it's fine the way it is. Yes, many people are mature enough, but then again, parents have a strong influence on their children, so of course the child is going to follow in their parents' footsteps. They aren't old enough (most of the time) to truly decide. Besides, I highly doubt many of the thirteen year-olds out there would get their lazy butts out there to vote...I mean, eighteen year-olds aren't!

Why did you give the option if you're just gonna question the voter's motives?

i think 18 is just fine. at least 1/4 of the population of 18 year olds dont even register to vote. so if they're lazy. how lazy are 13 year olds?

I'm not too sure, but I think it should be 16. 18 is fine, I'm not in a hurry to go vote, but I think 16 is a good number to start voting

You know what? I think that 13 is way to freakin immature an age to determine such an important decision. No, your opinions arent fully matured, and are just gonna be their parents opinions, like Kathleen said. No, 18 is perfect. It would be stupid to lower it rolleyes.gif .

Hehe...it's okay, Marci. *Pats your head* Twenty-one is good; I'm sure there's not that many eighteen through twenty year-olds that vote anyways. Hah. I wish I could vote. Maybe they should set up some critique...you have to have a certain IQ to vote if you're under eighteen. shifty.gif Hmm...*Ponders*

13?!??!? I'm 11, and I really doubt that I can make a decision like that when I'm 13 Voting isn't a privilege, it's more of a decision. At thirteen, you start high school. Politicial stuff dont go into some of those people's minds then.
I think 18. 18 or possibly 17. It's fine now, why change it?

not every adolescent can be as mature as everyone.. i think by the time a person turns 20, they'll probably be smart enough.. hopefully.. if not, then it should be 25!!!!!!

it doesn`t matter the age, but more of the person. a 12 yr old could be just as mature as say a 23 yr old. u never know.

I say 15.

Thats when you really think about things, and have more responsabilities. Your maturing at that age.

PS : I'd rather vote for Bush than Kerry... pinch.gif

Kerry = Fishyness

I think the age should be changed to sixteen... By the time kids are sixteen, they've been exposed to politics in high school and also most likely have gotten a job. Therefore, they should be able to make such decisions as deciding on taxes and presidents that now affect them. Besides, we have such a problem with young adults voting already that perhaps by lowering the age limit, more kids will want to get involved and perhaps our country will finally begin to speak for themselves. And then EVERYONE WILL STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT OUR PRESIDENT mad.gif , because they're able to have a say so.

But that's just me.
