Hey. Im hoping someone can help me here. I've been using Photoshop for almost a year and a half now, and I wanted to try something different, so been trying to teach myself how to use dreamweaver. I wanna make a myspace layout on it, and I was wondering how this is done? I can't seem to work it out mellow.gif

Any help would be appreciated! _smile.gif

You can code a myspace layout on it. I'm assuming you're meaning a DIV OVERLAY.
These links could help you get started:

TBH, all of it biggrin.gif

Ive still not got the hang of all the html codes etc, and i don't undestand how to make the myspace layout at all. No matter what i do, i only seem to be able to have a background colour, and nothing else. ermm.gif

http://w3schools.com/html/html_examples.asp

you can try that for some HTML tutorials.

http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_div.asp
there's one on div, which is explained in one of the links alvin had given you. it's actually one of the main things, so you might be confused on that too. basically you can search on what you're confused w/ there and it might help you more with their explanations?

Toby (twilightsamurai) posted some HTML help since you said you said you didn't understand any of it and you need to have prior knowledge of html, css to code a layout. _smile.gif

Right. I've had a look at the HTML website that was posted, and ive read over CSS stuff, so I kinda understand things a little more. The problem i have is with dreamweaver though, im either doing something wrong there, or my dreamweaver is being gay laugh.gif

What the problem is, i can put all the codes into "about me" on my myspace and everything shows up. But as soon as i put the exact same codes into dreamweaver, to change things etc, all i see is the background colour and nothing else, so i can't see if for example, the text has changed colour/size etc.

Thats all thats confusing me now, as i can't see anything, i can't tell what im doing basically!
