Okay, forgive me if this sounds weird... But my friend was talking to me about sexual abuse. We'll call her Annie. She told me that when she was young, around 8 she and her friends [2 girls] took turns examing each other genital areas. I don't know how often they did this but I'm assuming it was frequently. There were never any adults involved. Also she said she did it with her sister at night, and they called it.. weenie doctor[?] or something like that. I suppose she was watching a show on children being sexually abused and wondered whether her case is.. relevant[?] So anyways, I didn't know the answer to her question, so I thought I'd post it here. Sorry if this sounds weird. It sounded weird to me too.. But yes, your help and comments would be appreciated. [=

blink.gif creepy children...

I've heard that some kids can be very curious about their body parts and wouldn't necessarily try to hurt each other because of it. The whole 'game' concept of it sounds suspicious though, that maybe your friend was peer-pressured into doing it. If your friend was affected negatively in any way especially long term and emotionally or mentally, I'm sure it'd be relevant and something to check up on with a psychiatrist or someone.

it sounds like they were just curious. huh.gif
if your friend is disturbed about it and it affects how she is today, then it's an issue.

well to me it doesn't really sound like a big deal I mean I did the same thing with my guy cousins when we were young but its just kinda a curiousity thing not really sexual abuse if she were to take it to court she would lose because they were so young and she never said no or anything my advice is to forget about it or if it effects her go to counseling.
