Self-Reflection

There it is, I feel it again...
That sensation I feel when I’m all alone.
In touch with the core that is my heart,
Only now can I spill it out again.
I don’t seem to fall in place like the rest,
A fragment that won’t fit, yet easily bend.
I’m sorry for those with a fate far worse than I,
Silently my heart goes to them.
I’m much better off, I’d like to think,
I am in fact, but it won’t sink in.
I miss them, so far away from my heart.
There were times we were never apart.
At home I felt with the likes of you,
Simple laughter, simple lives, simple truth,
One thing's for sure, human traits make us fall,
You think something’s there, when there’s nothing at all.
I give in, I think I’ll wallow in this self-reflection,
Maybe I’ll grow up forever fighting mild depression.
It’s all in my mind, and in it has always been said,
The grass is ALWAYS greener,
On the other side of your head.
