^ I read it in a day too.

I think that sort of thing made it seem more like a real death; like, Harry saw his body, but there was nothing he could do about it. He couldn't save everyone who was dying like he usually does. It brings it back to Earth.

Both her parents are dentists and Muggles. Did you mean something else?

They were never mentioned in the books. Maybe they were Rose and Hugo? I don't know if JKR said anything about them in an interview.

Aren't names usually random? Just cause it's a book doesn't mean you have to re-use names. I thought Harry naming his kids after both his mother and father was both gross and sappy.

Alot of the ways some people died was anti-climactic. I had the feeling that JK was rushing to finish. Kinda pissed me off. I hated how she would allude to information, but not all the way give it out, even thought it was the last book.

As for the theme park, man, I hope it doesn't turn out to be lame. I don't give it very long to last. I know alot of people thought the HP books were "THE BEST BOOK EVER LOL" but they aren't. They actually kind of suck when you judge the way she actually writes them.

The plot is amazing at parts, bland and stupid in others. Like a decent fanfiction, only it's actually her book. But I'm only talking about after OotP.

If it's "the best series ever" it's because it got alot of people into reading, either again, or for the first time.

I have to say I disagree. Many people I know believe that Rowling is a talented writer. I hope that you're not judging her on that Epilogue, because everyone knows... that was a piece of shit. The fact that Rowling could capture so many non-readers is a talent.

Random names usually irk me, like - at least make them meaningful in some way. Every other name in HP has a meaning, why can't Ron and Hermoine's kiddos?

And as much as I would've loved for Remus and Tonks to at le ast have a freaking death scene, it was as Sammi said, more realistic.

And I think Rowling is a very talented writer. Of course part of HP is it's hype, but I think it's deserved. Her writing had me both happy and sad to the point of tears.

What I want to know is what happened to the house cup for the past couple books. Why did she even put it in there? Ah, I suppose to show the competition between the houses, but it still bugs me how it was there and so major and then it just disappeared T.T

Snapes memories were definitely my favorite part.

Yep that has got to be one of my favorite quotes in the entire book besides the Ron and Hermione kissing scene and I agree with you on the whole house cup thing.

It took me 5 days, which I find a long time (I read this word for word very carefully).

I see Rowling as an extremely talented writer because of all that imagination inside her. Honestly, think to yourself, would you have that kind of imagination? Something you could piece all together into an intense, action packed, dramatic story? It really captivates people.

I have a question, there was a part of the book I didn't quite understand.

I can't be bothered getting the book from upstairs and writing down the exact quote, but it's during Snape's memories, when Snape and Dumbledore are talking after the Yule Ball.

Snape tells Dumbledore he is not as cowardly as Karkaroff, and Dumbledore seems to agree, then says 'You know, I sometimes think we sort too soon'

Snape then 'looks stricken'

Can someone explain to me the significance of this? I never really understood it >_< .

^ it means dumbledore thinks snape could have done well in griffindore, since that is the house known for its courage.

Also since he would rather side with his love for Lilly rather than go with his own self-preservation (the biggest quality of Slytherins).

EW!

I just never liked Snape anyways... Although I do feel an overwhelming pity for him. His life was pretty much a miserable existence.

Yes, Luna in the movies is positively perfect, I do agree. Like everyone else though I cant help but love Snape. I have always loved him though, even when he killed my first favorite character because I knew all along it was planned and he wouldn't do that out of his own free will...

What do you mean what happened to it? Do you mean why didn't they have the ceremony thingy for it at the end? Because I'm pretty sure they were all busy fighting for their lives at the end....

I dunno if its just me, but I've been wating this whole series to see the teachers fight. Im like F**K YEAH when the teachers were fighting, especially against snape. Plus Mrs. Weasley, a usually loving person, like snaps against bellatrix.

Ha. I love it. happy.gif

Edit//

Did the battle of Hogwarts remind anyone of Final Fantasy 8? When Balmb Garden battled with Galadia (sp?) Garden? Eh it did me.
