I was so touched by the Snape thing. Like, really touched when he said, "Anything". But sometimes...it felt like I was reading fan fiction. Like maybe JK just wanted to put so much fan goosh in that she couldn't help herself by sounding like an overeager fan of her own books, lol.

It mostly annoyed me that Harry's children all ended up having those names, and that he actually married Ginny. Would have made more sense that he ended up marrying another character completely (like in real life) or Luna. Mostly because I love Luna.

I'm soooooo happy Ron and Hermione had all those awesome moments and had chilluns. But I didn't really care about the chilluns. I'd rather have that horrible part where Ginny pretty much presents herself to harry be deleted from the book and Harry and Hermione have one instead >.>

Much like Harry, I also couldn't stay mad at Albus. I like how we found out it wasn't really socks that he saw, but at the same time it sucks that he wasn't as awesome as we all thought.

She was really killing people right and left, wasn't she? Christ.

1. like could they have used the sword of gryffindor to kill more than one horcrux... ?

2. and also, why in king's cross... if it even was voldemort, why was he in the form of a baby? why wasnt he something else? Or atleast a ghost, was this the doing of him splitting himself up?

3. after everything that was happening, was dumbledore really dead? lol. or was his plan just going exactly as he hoped.

4. and how did neville attain the sword before killing nagini? it was said that maybe the sword was enchanted and appeared in the sorting hat because thats where the sword wanted it to be. but thats the only theory i have heard so far.
1. Of course they could have used it if it they were in possession of both the Horcruxes and the sword. But the sword isn't the only way to destroy one, remember?

2. Yeah, the creature definitely was made from the piece of Voldemort's soul that left Harry. Well, it was only a piece of his soul, not the whole, I'm guessing, or Voldemort's full form would've been described. If the baby had been a ghost, Harry would've been one too, but that would mean, Harry's body would've been destroyed and only his soul existed. We want Harry to be alive after this whole deal, right?

3. Well, he made several mistakes where his plan was concerned but it went as he had hoped. And he really was dead, lol. Really. Remember the bit about 'even though it's happening in your head doesn't mean it can't be real'. Maybe their souls met.

4. I remember reading somewhere in one of the books that only a worthy Gryffindor could pull the sword out of the sorting hat. There you go. :P

You have to remember that Voldy shows up this way in the fourth book as well. It shows how he is when he's weak.

I loved the whole scene where Harry pretended to be dead. It was so suspenseful for me. o___o

And Neville destroying the snake! Gosh! That was awesome. _smile.gif
He really...redeemed himself in this book.
It made me really happy.

If I'm not mistaken, she said she would kill TWO characters.

Hell, a lot more died.

I was the most bummed when Hedwig and Dobby died. How could they kill the owl?! Though forcefully slammed the book shut when Fred died. I just couldn't believe it.

It was great, an extremely happy ending, almost too happy for me. And I wasn't a big fan of the last sentence of the book, but the story was great. Hm, i really didn't think Snape was good either, i was suprised. And the way Voldemort finally died, sorta anticlimatic in a way. but i really wish there was an 8th book. . . i'm going to really miss this series.

Yeah I really thought that Voldy would have more of a ... bigger death the just his spell backfiring on him.
But I guess it's up to the movies to do that.

Snapey-pooo <3
Neville was the shit omg.

She said she killed two characters whom she hadn't originally intended to, not two in total.

dobby dying was the saddest point for me. he admired harry so much. but i think his death was one of the best dramatic chapters in the book; therefore, i'm glad rowling included it.

I agree, but ending on a joke wasn't bad. I could have done with an entirely different epilogue. I really don't give a crap about the kids. It was such a fanfictiony thing to do. I mean, the jokes were nice, but it felt so empty. All the information about the characters was pretty bland or not even there. There were soooo many characters she didn't even talk about.

I mean, I'm glad people are happy, but what about George? Does he ever open that joke shop? Did they ever go back to there 7th year at school? So on and so forth. What are everyone's jobs?

Like I said, really don't care about the next generation's jabbering.
There didn't even seem to be a point besides Harry saying he thought Snape was brave.

That's why she's working on that new book, it's supposed to be a huge almanac of characters and there back stories and whatnot. :D At least, that's what The Leaky Cauldron said.

When JK killed Hedwig I knew shit had hit the roof. After that everyone was dying, and I didn't feel anything for most the characters. I was just like, "Crap, another one bites the dust". But I felt sad when Dobby died, and then when Harry himself brought himself to die.

I thought that whole thing was very dramatic.

You know this encyclopedia is a great business opportunity. All that she didn't include in the book (whether intentionally to include in the encyclopedia or because she didn't want to for whatever reason) she'll include here and most if not everyone will want to know how the other characters have fared.

it took me two days to finish it lol. i felt so bad for snape, because after all he was a good guy and he didn't deserve to die how he did. no one deserved to die, of course though. i don't know why but dobby's death hit me quite hard. i also cried a lot when harry was about to surender to voldemort. i knew he wasn't going to die, but it was sad. there is so much i could say about this book but i'm too tired to at the moment but i loveeee this book.
i thought the ending could have been better though, a little more epic, but it was good how it happened. i love harry potter.

yea the ending should of been more epic. i mean it was epic when everybody was getting ready to fight the death eaters but thats it. the battle with harry and voldy wasnt that long or exciting as i thought it would. i read the part 2 times to see if it really just ended like that.

I was kinda hoping that it would be Neville that would kill Belatrix just cuz she attacked his parents but him helping the death of Voldemort was awesome. i wonder if rowling decided him to be the one who helps kill off Voldemort because of the Prophecy in the order of the pheonix book.

I love the fact that Peeves actually ended up helping in the end. The story of the Baron was kinda sad though :[

Thank goodness she didn't kill off Hagrid or McGonagall, that woulda sucked! I think my favorite parts of the book were when Harry looked into Snapes memories & the part where all the teachers & the Order of the Pheonix unite.

K EVERYONE LIST YOUR FAVORITE CHAPTER!

My favorite chapter would have to be Kreacher's Tale. I have a soft spot for mean animals who become nice. ^_^"

My other favorite chapter would be King's Cross b/c it made everything make sense. :]

Btw, you guys should look at the "Little Things" in http://www.mugglenet.com
It has a ton of cool stuff that you might have never noticed like from OOTP...

QUOTE
In St. Mungo’s, when they are going to visit Mr. Weasley- 'They climbed a flight of stairs and entered the "Creature-Induced Injuries" corridor, where the second door on the right bore the words 'DANGEROUS' DAI LLEWELLYN WARD: SERIOUS BITES.' If you put these words on a sign, they would read:

Creature-Induced Injuries
Dangerous
Dai Llewellyn Ward
Serious Bites

Take the first word of each of these and what do you get get? Creature Dangerous Dai Serious? No - Kreacher dangerous, Die Sirius...

- what did the potters do for a living, especially lily? we're still clueless

According to muggle net: James Potter inherited lots of money and didn't need a well-paying profession. dunno about Lily.
