Well I have been messing around with this portfolio concept for a while now and I'd just like to receive some peoples opinion's and/or advice on things. The navigation is on the top right, music control is on the top left, and the contact box is a little dialogue image on the bottom right corner. To my knowledge the website is cross-broswer compatible, so if you find anything that's different please let me know.

Thanks.

I like it. The only problem I had (I'm using AOL) is that the pre-load bar just kept going and it didn't do anything, so I had to click the link and open it in a new window. shrug.gif

I really like the transitions when you click the links. And I think it's really user friendly.

Hmm. I've definitely seen something almost EXACTLY like this on createblog before.

Auto-playing music isn't a good thing to have. I think the navigation is a little hard to see; it blends in too well.

The layout overall is decent, but not anything overly special.

Err I'll look into keeping the music from auto playing. As for the layout that was seen almost exactly to this one...might have been mine since I had asked for criticism when I was still in the early stages of working on it. I didn't know AOL behaved differently....I'll have to look into tweaking the javascript or just redirecting without preloading the images. Well thanks for the comments so far.

Any idea's on what to do with the navigation? I'm just wondering if you had thought of anything upone making this observation...I feel like the top bar would look empty without my navigation buttons being there i could ofcourse increase the opacity of them...that might be somehting to look at.

i greatly dislike that your header/banner has blurry edges. to pull of a design like this, edges should be clean.

I really like it, overall. I agree that the edges on the top part of your content shouldn't have the shadow. It makes it look cleaner. As for the nav, it's a bit hard to spot. If you didn't say where it was, I probably would have taken forever to find it. A brighter, lighter color for the font, perhaps?

I took out the drop shadow on the top border of the middle column and I changed the buttons not sure if I'll keep them like that but I guess for now it's a quick fix so they aren't so inconspicuous.

I like it. The colors are nice. But the banner isn't transparent in my browser (IE6)
