Sorry to say it, but I remember when nick and I would have to delete layouts you would create on your own and then accept from the queue by yourself. They were so bad... I don't remember if nick ever got around to telling you to cut that shit out.

if i don't get staff, i'm not going to let it get to me. i know that i've done things wrong and perhaps they should be held against me because of what they were, but i think i could also be given a chance to prove myself as i have been here for a while longer than a lot of the people that have applied and other stuff i've mentioned in my application. but at the same time, it seems like i might have too much to prove.

Personally any old staff members that have really come back and tried to become more active and stuff I think should have some fair shot.

I think Thomas for one should be given another shot. He's back and we already know he knows what hes talking about and knows how to help people. Also I think Alvin should be given a shot, I've seen him apply before and it looks like hes really putting a effort out there to be seen and deserves the shot.

To see Stephanie apply again, I have a really big feeling shes going to get the position. But shes a great person, very well rounded it seems and fully deserves it.

I would love to see Maggie get a staff position. I think shes a very sweet person and with a little practice would become a great staff member she really makes me think of how Kaycee was when she was first hired.


I would also like to see Elba get a staff position. I really don't see any reason why she shouldn't get the position for the few people that have been given the chance in the past and have proven themselves worthy enough for it. I think a lot of people would really like to see her on staff anyway. She may be a little rough around the edges when you first see her around but you get use to it and really see shes not as bad as you may think

I don't think that Justin, Spencer, Elba, Sandra, or Rico...

Are going to be treated equally when it comes time for the staff to make their "deliberations"...

That's just my opinon though. biggrin.gif

well no duh, if the staff has any grudge against you, then your probably not going to be treated "fairly" unless you do some major kissing ass to the higher ups




Going through the applications again. Ricky should be given a shot again? I think. Hes way over qualified for the position of design staff and is really good graphically and design wise. Even though he was most active last on staff when this place was deserted he did his job the best that he could and thats all we should ask out of people around here

Well I don't see that their doing anything extremely wrong. I mean come on its a online forum now. Elba gets her kicks from being honest, same way James is for being Blunt as well.

I remember seeing something the other day along the lines if James can let people down about their intellectual level then i dont see how its wrong for Elba to let people down about their looks.

I would go for a definitive position and focus on that instead of leaving up to their discretion

Well see the only reason I did that was because I was on design staff/myspace staff before and then right before I left got the chance to move over to people staff so I mean last time I was here they saw me fit for either position. So its really up to them, I'm happy with either position. I enjoy the design part of this forum but I love getting to know new people and peoples interests. Just seems like theres more of a social aspect then getting under appreciated all the time in the design forums, but its what happens and you get use to it.

I think almost everyone that put in applications I have no problem with, although to be quite honest I don't think I have a problem with anyone at the moment...

I think everyone has a fair shot at it at least I hope because they all deserve it

I really dont see activity being a big issue. Of course it always gets brought up but most of the time even if your not the most active person in the world and they see potential that you could change that and your extremely qualified their usually more than willing to give you a chance.

I mean come on guys were not getting paid to do the job so I mean if you get hired and they don't see you being as good as they expected they can just kick you off staff -shrug-

More activity = more chance to be available when moderating is needed.

Say you hire a cop (and for the sake of argument you're paying him with oxygen molecules). Would you want him to just stop in now and then to see if there are any crimes to be stopped, or have him there to stop it at the root?

Activity is a requirement but it isn't treated like its gold.

^Like in the final topic were the new mods are announced have the people that didn't get the position and reasoning below? OR maybe a new topic but I think it would just be a topic waster..but I can see why people may want that and I don't see any reason not to have it. Unless there are people that wouldn't want to know...
