does anyone know how to put a top 8, or basically, pictures with links, underneath my myspace page [www.myspace.com/spinalonion], the way some divs do?

Try this:
Edit the margin-left, margin-top, width, and height. Margin-left moves your div left or right, and margin-top moves your div up or down. Replace URL TO FRIENDS PAGE with your friend's myspace url, and also replace URL TO FRIENDS PICTURE with a picture of your friend.
