<,< I don't think you're a f**kin idiot.

I would assume that experience and maturity would be the equation for the proper candidate of being a mod.

And like I said and corrected before, I only meant that "some' mods are only mods because of popularity, not all mods are.

In general, the cancer resides on the structure of this forum and its users.

I know something we can do to improve quality...
Reputation system.

When someone posts a Topic or posts in a topic, if they post a horrible topic, such as flaming, pornography etc... the members can add a rep point, of course being a negative one with a comment as to why they posted a neg rep. If it's a good topic or good post in general, then people can choose to give them a positive rep.

If someone gets repped by someone with very high rep (because their reputation on the boards is very good) then it should effect them drastically. Whether it's negative or positive.

The rule must be though... you cannot rep the same person within a 24 hour period. So people don't have to create topics and create a "rep whore topic"

Also depending on the amount of rep points they have, they only give out soo many reps in general in a 24 hour period. That way it prevents people from repping every single person in CB, unless their reputation is so high that they're capable of doing so.

On top of that I would recommend making the rep point system basically endless... so that someone can have 100,000,000,000,000 rep points if they wanted, obviously you'd have to create a formula in which this would realistically take forever...

Also we should be more strict about the policies. I believe if someone breaks the rules we should have a link around their avatar in which we could click (including the reputation link) to report them to a moderator, all the person has to do is copy/paste the link to the post or the post itself. If the moderator gets overwhelmed in bad reports for that specific post then it's obvious that the moderator should automatically warn the poster.

Well... this will fix the issues at hand. Cb is basically self-imploding.
