Oh wow, that digital painting is AMAZING! I don't think we have any tutorials on that because there isn't a member among us that is that accomplished. The most I could tell you is that the person probably scanned a sketch into Photoshop and then created hundreds of layer to create the subtle shading and vibrant colors.

the person might not be a drawing, but who am i to say? for that deviant, i can tell from looking he did a lot of smudging lol. alongside with that, probably some custom fratcal C4Ds, brushes, or tricks from the pen tool. i can't be too sure but i dont foshooo he did some smudging 'cause i can see some. smudges & filtered smudges & filtered other stuff. either that, or it's just my imagination. mellow.gif
for the-prep's (damn, that is some hellaaa sick graphics there), i think it's the same thing. Smudging, filters, C4Ds, stuff. I know for a fact some of his graphics use C4Ds for some 'cause, well, I don't know, you can just tell by looking at some that he used some c4ds. Only for some though. Smudging can do a lot more than you think of you smudge right. And filters can improve it so it doesn't look like smudging as much. The rest of his work is probably like some damn pen tool skillz0rs

the man looks like a statue..

Probably what he did was he rendered the background (the swirls) in CD4, and in Photoshop placed the man over it, erasing parts so that he would blend in. Then textures/color layers/gradients.
