Just like it says, whenever I open a picture up in photoshop 6 it has a reddish/pinkish tint to it. This just recently started happening, and I've had photoshop for awhile and it's never done this. But when I save the picture and, say, upload it onto myspace or something, it's back to normal again. Any ideas on how to fix this?

The problem is that I can't really edit things correctly and mess with the colors when its tinged like that. And... it's not like I'm the only one seeing the pinkish tint, so no, it's not how others see it. The program isn't excessively old.

You should check your settings on your Photoshop. You might be openning it up and the settings might be something where the colors are tweeked.

Is it when you save for the web it comes out red? I recently had that problem too... but it went away after a while.

If it's still doing that, I'd copy the whole image and paste it into another canvas. That worked for me. Then it stopped.

look in the bottom of the tool bar, there are 2 circles with rectangles. click the left circle to exit quick mask mode.
if that doesn't work, hit the \ button, your layer might be in quick mask (if you added one.)

go to channels pallette, see if there is a spot channel. if so, delete it or click on unview?

and again, maybe check to see if there is a vector mask in your layers pallette. I denno. take a screenshot and/or look somewhere else. Otherwise, find a way to reset everything to default settings? blink.gif

I don't comprehend.. maybe take a quick screen shot?
Back on my other comp; I had paint shop pro 7 and when I save something; the colors, yes, pink, mixes up with the saved image. <-- is that what your talking about?

And if it recently started happening; do you remember doing something on photoshop? like opening something or edit and do few changes ?

Or maybe it's ometing wrong with your color settings? Go to Edit > Color setting

hope it helps~
