uploading images, they turn out blurry! |

okie so here's the problem: i use photobucket rite...and everytime i upoload a .bmp image the image that is then uploaded turns out to be VERY small..but .bmp images are better cuz they are more CLEAR
then i upload .jpg images and they come out the rite size..but too blurry.. wut should i do? use a different file type? |

bmp's aren't clearer than jpegs or gifs. bmps are the lowest quality, aside from png's. photobucket has a 250kb limit, and then it resizes the pictures for you.

what do you mean? bmp is a better quality than jpeg and gif. but it takes up a lot of space.
jpeg files are similar to bmp...but you can decrease the file size by decreasing the quality always use jpeg for photo pictures. and gif for digital pictures. try to stay away from uploading bmp/png files. |

You can save the .bmp files as .jpgs, they might turn out blury but it's better than .bmps.
Photobucket.com isn't good for uploading bmps. You can use but the [url=http://www.domaindlx.com]domaindlx.com[/ur]space isn't enough if a lot of people visit the image. |

http://imageshack.us is another good place. unlimited uploads, unlimited space, no sign up.
only downside is that might want to save all those url on a notepad file. |

if you want to upload JPG's i suggest getting a paint program such as Paint Shop Pro. When you save the image you have to save it as an "optomized JPG" otherwise it will turn out blurry. for an example of an optomized JPG look at the background of my site. i also recommend saving files as PNG's. They don't take up as much space as BMP's and the quality is excellent. The header image and profile picture on my xanga are PNG's.

save your image as a .png then save it as a .jpg its smaller (in kbs) and it looks really clear
 try http://image.hostcubix.com/ you don't need an account or anything and they load up to 600 kbs in any file

if u have photoshop, u can 'save optimized as'... it'll make ur image the lowest size possible, while retaining the clarity of the image.....also for fuzziness...how are u making ur images into Jpgs?
