Hey everyone! (: Dang, so sorry that it's been awhile I posted or gave something in Createblog. Forgive me? ;_;

I keep seeing Bleach and Raito layouts, so I wanted to post an L one. :'D

Anyway, I made a DIV layout and I want some feedback on it from you lovely designers before putting it up on my main one to show my friends (the myspace is linked to my main one, so feel free to add me - but Message me first to let me know you're from CB!).

This is going to be a really weird comment.

It's beautiful. Vibrant, bright, colourful . . . But it screws my brain over. If you're religious, I'm apologizing in advance for the following comment, but . . . It's akin to seeing the devil impersonate baby jesus. I know L is "justice," but Deathnote is not happy anime (except for Misa-Misa. She's weird). It's doesn't, um, "deserve" such happy colours.

Does that make any sense at all? I'm a bit crazy.

Wow it's so busy and bright, but at the same time neat. I love it, it's beautifully chaotic... VERY unique... not sure if I can stress that enough!

I think it's pretty neat, nice colors and placement of everything. I don't really like the little strawberries in the navigation, but other than that its awesome.

@talcumpowder - :'D Ah. About your religious comment, are you saying that DN itself is something like that? or you mean L directly? Even though I'm religious, I'm not offended. However, I'm not really getting at your point. Did you mean by the controlling death? You have to admit, we as a society think of worst things and may even act upon them (just look at your local news or even regular movies; death happens all the time). About DN itself, I think that it really depends in the individual itself. DN may not be the epitome of a "happy anime," but when you're supporting L's team (with Nira & Mello), I really believe that the story is considered a "happy ending" when you look at it as a whole - all things aside. :"D LOL My reply must be really weird too... but anyway! LOL Sorry, I hope this isn't scamming the board!

I don't think it really suits the layout. They are kind of big, and stick out a little too much, especially on the "My Stalker Luffs" part. The other parts with the strawberries look pretty good, but the "My Stalker Luffs" really look.. odd. 'Cause they're all scattered.

You did an excellent job at making the colors, images, and fonts work well together. The content you chose fit the divs quite well also. I have not seen the show you themed your layout from, so I will not criticize anything about the theme. You really amazed me with your Photoshop skills .

The layout itself. I don't know, it's just that the anime's palette itself leans more towards the dark side than the light side.

It's kinda like seeing a dark, angtsy layout for Sailor Moon. In you're head you've got the whole happy/giddy schoolgirl thing going, but you're confronted with something that grates against that. Then again, the entire DN series is a piece of candy-tripped crazy that ends like "oh, yeah. I got tired of drawing so you get this!" so . . . Yeah.

But it's still beautiful! XD And as for the strawberries . . . They don't fit in the colour palette. They're red and everything else is smoothie pink/yellow, which is what I think people have a problem with (besides the fact that they're scattered).

(and you think being addicted to anime is expensive? Try being addicted to anime, manga and cosplay (and having an entire family like that). You won't ever have enough money to even think about buying drugs. Srsly.)

@Alovesopure - Ah, I get it. (: Thanks! I cleaned up that part a bit... and replaced it with Spades for the friendlist. Rather than the red strawberries, I'm thinking to put smaller pink ones? Is that better? The softer touch to it?

@talcumpowder - LOL. Is that so? I don't know, maybe it's the whole "think outside the box" that hits me? C'mon now, I think there's just more to Death Note than angst & all that. (Btw, what's wrong with Sailor Moon having something dark & angsty? Remember that one scene... -off topic- j/k. -heart- LOLLL. We're so not on the same page xD!!!)

:'D Thanks again for the compliment and continuous feedback! I changed it around to have something smaller (the spades) and darker to contrast with the white links? :"D & calendar???? I suppose? LOL. So yes, I replaced a few red ones to see and compare what others think. :'D so what do you think? xD

(LOL. Yes. Anime, Manga, Figurines, Posters, etc etc etc. Just the whole ani-con shopping thing. ;_; Yah, I definitely know how that is.) That's nice that your whole family cosplays. x3 Talk about some valuable family time. )

I really like your work on the header on the character, in the top-right corner. It engaged my eyes, in a good way!

The whole layout is gorgeous in my opinion. The colors match very well with eachother. I think you're a very talented designer. I give you a 10/10.

Wow, these colors are much brighter than I'd expect for a Death Note layout. I guess it's a nice change though, and definitely an interesting one. I love the animated chibi of L. :3 The chibi dolls at the bottom are really cute too. I want one! XD

I REALLY like the banner. Sersiously. I like how it transitions into a pretty content section!

I only have to gripes: The "Let's Value Our Lives" font seems blurry or out-of-place, and there's a horizontal scrollbar... I use 1024 x 768 resolution, but I can still see the entire layout without the scrollbar.

Hm... "blurry or out of place?" I think its blurry because it was meant for a small font (I used silkscreen). But I thought it was good to emphasize one of his quotes, rather than use the same font and style with his other quotes in the layout.

Concerning the "out of place," originally, I put the quote in the center of "He is Justice" rather than the side as it is now. But I thought it was too cluttered in the left side with the darker quotes... and the right side was empty...

But shall I make it smaller and move it?

& finally, about the horizontal bar, I was honestly concerned about those who use the 1024x768. I put "overflow: x-hidden;" (originally it was overflow-x:hidden;}" Hopefully, is it gone? Are you using IE or Mozilla (just wondering)?

So sorry to bother you and thank you so much for your honest creative criticisms. :D
