Yes, my American peeps, it's Victoria Day.

You know, I rarely learned about Canada while studying in the US. Quite sad even though Canadian history is boring.

I know, wouldn't it be convenient if she just linked us to an encyclopedia page that would inform us about what Victoria Day is? Damn, that bitch is a f**king slacker!

Ever wonder what Victoria's Secret was?

It was the man she was sleeping w/ behind everyone else's back.

Or something along those lines. We seriously spent 3 class periods discussing this in AP US History. His first sentence that came out of his mouth that day was, WERE GOING TO TALK ABOUT SEX.

And everyone cheered.

Is this a real holiday that people celebrate, or is it like...Columbus Day?

Either way, Happy Victoria Day!

^ You don't really "celebrate" it in the Halloween, Christmas sense. The only celebration I can think of is the Victoria Day parade.

Um, let's see...isn't Victoria Day only celebrated in BC? Or am I just totally ignorant about Canadian holidays? See, I figure since Victoria's the capital of BC. Queen V has a lot to do with the rest of the country, though...oh, I'm so confused.

Anyway, I'm late for it anyway. Although I did get to miss a day of school, woohoo.

I saw and heard fireworks in my neighborhood! =) I think there were fireworks near the Toronto harbour, so it's probably not limited to Victoria, BC. I guess there was more celebration there in BC? I'm glad I got a day off.
