interesting concept ;P should go make it a skin, maybe even put alternating bg script so people can choose their own "aim" bg.. hahaha. i made a similar layout, except using aol chatroom.. it was ghetto o; this aim layout looks more high tech

oh wow.. that's an awesome idea... but i think u should've used those icons (preference, set up, IM, Chat and etc) on the buddy list as navigations and use the buddy list for your friends list. Overall i love the ideas though.
