post is a pain to read...
my senior prom is coming up and my ticket is 100
and the dress i want is 92... i guess it depends where u get your dress
at first i didn't want to go to prom because of its price... but it wasn't that my mom can't afford it... just because i hate parties... and i don't have a date... but i'm not going because i have one, i'm going to prom for me, for my friends... u should do the same.... worry about money before u worry about a date... u don't need one, have fun

as for music... i wish rock music will be played at mines... i'm stuck with rap and r&b music because i live in the bronx.... and i HATE rap and r&b...

1. who cares about a limo, you don't need to look cooler or something.
2. you can get a dress like for 50 bucks or something. i've seen some NICE dresses
at places like yeah, the mall (forgot the store name) and you'd still look fine.
you don't really have to worry about dresses. it's not like it's your last year. (right?)
3. wow your tickets are really expensive ! :| ! ours are 25 bucks including the whole package deal.
last year, ours were 7 bucks with 25 dolalrs if you wanted the whole package deal.
wow. :/

Are the limos really that expensive? Perhaps it depends what service you're getting. And like everyone else said, there are really nice dresses that can be really cheap. I know this store in a nearby mall, where I've seen excellent dresses for only 20-30 something. Don't be shocked at a 50 dollar ticket either, our school's selling one for like, 75 or 85, couples are basically double.

It's not as bad as you make it seem. Our tickets cost 150 per couple. You sound like you don't really want to go since you are complaining about every aspect of it. Why not just save yourself the money and the time and not go?
