how do you hide comments on a skinny layout? cause i tried a bunch of different codes and it always hides my friends too or it makes my table really big! here's a link to my myspace so you can see the layout

I don't really know why a hide comments code would stretch your page. It shouldn't.

Gah that code has to be edited, on I.E if you don't have a "width" for the DIV, it'll stretch out ALL the way, no joke.

but now my friends aren't showing...only the four friends on the left are showing and the rest are streched off the page. you can see what i'm talking about here

Seems like the height is fine but you may want to just make the width a little bigger.

How exactly are you trying to make it? I just looked and the tables are skinny, they are not even because of your contact table and you are using a default layout. You may want to try replacing the one I gave you with this one but when I look I see skinny tables.

Regarding your comments the script above (that intercouse gave you) should work fine. The only reason your tables would come out odd is if your friends ruined the size.
