Sooo, I just fainted the other day in my first period class. Needless to say now that I think about it it's kind of embarassing. I don't really remember what happend right before. It's like one minute your standing up and the next your on the ground. My doctor thinks it was because I'm dehydrated. So my question is, have any of you fainted? And do you know why?

BTW, I have a VERY hottt teacher first period and I heard he ran across the room to see me. And when I woke up he was like, inches away from my face. blush.gif wub.gif

Do you drink a lot of soda?
Try switching to water, and lots of it.

I fainted once when I was @ the doctor's for a check-up. She was taking my blood & I'm scared of blood/needles. I guess I was just creeped out & nervous. I was sitting and then I woke up on the floor. _unsure.gif

Yeah, 2 times, because I didn't eat breakfast and my blood sugar was too low. pinch.gif
It happens to my brother too, but it's because his cholesterol level is wayyy too high.

Aww, I hope you feel better! flowers.gif
I fainted once at a carnival, when I was 8 or 9. The thing is, I hadnt been on any rides yet, and I was fine before hand. But my mom claims it was because I hadnt eaten anything... when I indeed had. Oh well.

i fainted once at track practice
it was most probably because of dehydration/the weather (fricking sizzling)

I apparently fainted when I was at nursery. From the top of the stair case all the way to the bottom. I just remember waking up in my teacher's arms.

I've fainted before for different reasons. Basically, I was weak. I hadn't eaten anything, I was in a room with the heater on full blast, and I had gotten up very very quickly that when I got up, my vision was black and I couldn't see where I was going and I accidentally bumped into the wall/door and crumpled to the floor. Your doctor is right; be sure to eat well and drink lots of water.

Yep I had stomach problems so I went to the doctor and they had to take blood. I haven’t ate or drank all day so I was pretty dehydrated and it was hard getting blood out of me. After we were done and my mom was checking out in the waiting room [I was standing next to her] and a minute later I woke up on the floor with my mom, two doctors, and a nurse shaking me. Apparently when I fainted I landed on there plant and they were all telling me they needed a new plant anyway and I'm all wtf are you talking about haha.

the first time i fainted was when i was like seven. i had a loose tooth but i didnt want to go to the dentist so i told my mom to yank it out for me. after pulling out my tooth, i dont remember much besides waking up on the bathroom floor. i had no idea how i got there. but pretty scary.

the other time was at a doctor's office. i havent had a blood test in like ten years and i've always been scared of needles. after taking blood, i walked to the restroom and i felt really dizzy. i started to loose balance and all the doctors rushed toward me. that was ALMOST fainting tho..

I fainted in the emergency room once when I was 16 I believe.
I went into the ER because I had been having nonstop stomach pains for like a few weeks. So my mom finally took me to the ER.
The gave me a few test, and took my blood. I'm not afraid of needles.
Then they attached that IV thing to me and they were pumping some kind of fluid or medicine in me. Well a few moments after the medicine was going in my body, I started feeling really dissy and I felt like I was going to throw up. So I stood up to go to the trashcan to throw up and I remember holding on to the rail thing of the trash can, and the next thing I knew I was back laying in the bed shaking. Yeah it's pretty freaky. Now whenever I feel like I'm going to throw up I get really anxious because I'm scared I'm going to faint again. >.<

I fainted this year in school, after third period. I got really shaky/dizzy all of a sudden in that class. After class, I was in the hallway with my friend (we share a locker) and my vision started going black so I tried to lean on the lockers for support, but no dice. I said "I think I'm going to pass out" and I did. =P My friend caught me, though, so I didn't hit my head or anything. The school nurse was really nasty to me and basically accused me of having an eating disorder. Then I went to the doctor and he said I had "vasovagal syncope". I still don't really know what that is. heh.
