I have a friend who uses three types of diet pills a day and that surely canNOT be healthy can it?
I think she said she has Rapid Slim, NV and Trimspa.

And to tell you the truth, she doesn't even need the pills; she probably weighs around 150lbs and is about 5'10", so maybe if she wants to lose at least a few pounds she should just work out. I tell her that, but she doesn't listen.

Does anyone here use any of these diet pills? And if so do they work at all because I would like to get her mind off of them as soon as possible because I'm pretty sure using all three of those pills at once can be harmful.

Diet pills can be very dangerous for you heart, esspecially if you workout and are getting your heart rate increased. I have a friend who knew someone who was a former marine who was taking diet pills and had a heart attack when he was jogging on a treadmill, he wasn't even 30.

I'm glad that you want to help your friend out. I'm not too sure what would be the best way, but I've had friends who have taken diet pills and I've done some research on them to find out how the effect your body and I've shown it to some of them and let them know that I'm concerned about their health and that they're beautiful no matter what and don't need to take diet pills (corny, I know). It might help her if you do a little research and show her what they can do to you.

Actually, I have an article in my college newspaper that says the only TRUE WAY to weight loss is exercising daily and being active.

Diet pills - they could POTENTIALLY work, but diet pills alone will not give longterm results. Even going on a diet by eating more healthy and less portions and such - there are studies shone that they don't keep off weight longterm.

If you want, I can scan the article or look for it up online on the newspaper's website.

yea i think diet pills work to a certain extent but you really have to exercise its not like weight loss surgery where you dont have to put any effort into losing weight but yea.

i think you should just tell her to drink green tea. its nasty to me but it really helps if you drink one cup a day you will guaranteed lose 10 lbs in 3 weeks.

Wow... please try to make sure your friend's pills are really okay for her body!
Over here there was a really publicized case about a famous celebrity who had endorsed a certain, very popular type of diet pills. She had done all the ads., commercials, etc. for them... and one day she had to get a kidney transplant because of the damage those pills gave her. Link here. Second Link here. I know not all diet pills are deadly but think about it- she was a famous actress who was taking really popular diet pills... you'd think the pills wouldn't harm her but they ended up almost killing her. It could happen to anybody... so make sure your friend knows whether the pills she is taking are really ok for her body. I'd also advise her to lose weight naturally instead of relying on pills...

One type isn't too bad, but three is dangerous. Tell her to stop, and if she won't ask her to cut down to one type.

For sure.

Trim Spa only works temporarily (when it works). Everyone that I have known personally that has tried it wanted their money back.

That's the advice most nutritionists will give you/her.

they can be dangerous... especially if you take more than the recommended dose...
learned that one myself... my friend and I took like... 10 times the recommended dose cuz we heard its insanely fun when you do (almost like speed) and it was really bad for me cuz my heart rate is already much higher than it should be (resting heart rate of 115). I thought I was gonna die.
