I'm just gonna say (from a guy's perspective), seeing as how you REALLY like him from the fact that you remember every little thing he does, that if he DOES ask you out, you must play it cool. Us guys get freaked out by clingy girls and such, so don't gripe if he doesn't call you for maybe two days, or is out-of-contact for a while, and don't interrogate him.

Don't put too much faith in him, because at such a young age (both of u), there's a HIGH chance it won't work out when he graduates, meets new people, etc. etc. etc. Us guys are very EASILY distracted ;).

There is ALSO the chance that seeing as HE is also quite young, he might not know what he's doing (aka flirting with you), and he might think he's just being friendly. I always smile when I talk to girls, and I tease lots of girls (poke, joke, etc.), so it's actually quite natural behavior. However, if he does seem to pay a special amount of attention towards you, he might like you.

At any rate, just be careful cuz seeing as how you're both young, there's a high chance the relationship won't last long. Jr. high - dating never does work out. At least that I know of... o.O

The breakup rates during middle-high school are shocking, no matter how much both people claimed to like each other before. Have fun while you can, but don't get yourself in too deep.

Hypothetically, you two get in a relationship..
'Joel' will be in high school soon, and I don't know how he'd feel having a girlfriend in middle school.

That aside, I personally think he just likes you as a sister. The things he does to/with you don't really indicate that he's interested in you romantically.

The age difference isn't that big in my opinion.
