Um, well I have this myths project to do. One of them is a research paper and the other one is a "hands-on project". Well, for the hands-on project, I need to make either a paper mache model of something or "construct" a diorama.

I know that this is a really stupid question, but what exactly can I use to make a diorama?
What supplies do I need to make paper mache? How long does it take?

Paper mache... get newspaper strips and a mixture of 50% water and 50% elmer's glue. Mix the water and glue together, tear off strips of newspaper and dip it in the mixture. Paste on the newspaper strips until you've made a few layers worth of it... then leave it to dry. Don't use a LOT of the mixture, or you're going to have to wait a looong time for it to dry... but it should take at least one day to completely harden + dry.

Dioramas are basically models of something, I think. You could use a cardboard box and build whatever you want inside of it... depends on what you're making.

Hope that helped! thumbsup.gif

^ Hmm.. that helped but what do you put the newspaper on? Am I supposed to make whatever I need to make by shaping aluminum foil and then putting the newspaper on it?

i would think that you could use multiple things for your base. plastic, cardboard, bottles, ect. are some suggestions.
