I’ve looked into your eyes
And saw myself therein.
Feeling the pulsating glare
As if a nail through my skin.

Always looking for the one thing
That makes you feel complete.
Realizing the music in your heart
Can no longer keep it’s beat.

The rhythm lost somewhere
Among many dissipated streams.
The remorseful feeling
That they don’t hear the screams.

I have seen you in the shadows
Walking the halls at night.
And I shall keep this secret
Safe within and held so tight.

I alone will watch the sunsets
And wish upon a star.
And add this to the broken dreams
And the countless scars.
