Hopefully this is real.

^ Um, okay. It's a national website. It's not just some off the wall site, so why would it be fake? It's there to HELP people. Wouldnt you want to know if a sicko lived near you?
 It turns out the guy who lives across the street from me did it 5 years ago. Definately not decades, eh? And even if they havent been convicted in decades, they're still sickos. Once a perv always a perv. |

Actually, I'm not very sure on exactly how it works, but I think part of the punishment for sex offenders is that they must be labeled as sex offenders where they live, etc. Which is what the website does.

If someone does something like that once, you cant take any chances. I think he has to report to the sex offenders office or whatever the heck they're called so they can monitor him. I know thats what others have to do. |

There are a lot where I live, but I'm not all that surprised. Things have happened to me before. But I did discover that I ride the bus with a guy that raped a 5 year old.
On a side note, what would "other offense" be? Because a lot of kiddies in my neighborhood seem to like partaking in other offenses. |

I think you should all know how low the standards are for getting on that list.
Did you know a girl could go to the police and say some random guy raped her, and they'd be put on the sex offenders list without even being checked? A lot of them could be innocent. |
