Call me oldfashioned for still using Microsoft's Windows Media Player every now and then, but I have a question about its 11th version. Is it just me, or does Windows Media Player 11 not support streaming online video on Firefox? Whenever I attempt to play a video online, such as on websites like Killsometime.com or Compfused.com, the proportions for the player are completely off, and the video is played distorted. Most videos have a ratio of 4:3, while the player size on these websites comes out to around 2:3. Thus, the videos get all squashed and stretched out and impossible to watch.

Also, sometimes when the video is bigger than the selected size of the player on Firefox, you only see part of the video, with the rest cut off.

I checked these sites on Internet Explorer and WMP plays fine there.

This is incredibly frustrating, like all Microsoft products, and I'd like to know if anyone has this problem.

Edit:

Okay, Microsoft is a peice of crap. I tried to go back to my previous WMP version, but now it says that my computer is incompatible with it. Go figure.

Looks like you got it figured out, so I'll close this now. Just PM me if you need this reopened or something.
