I wrote this one a while ago ... I'd like to know what you think of it.

Silence
silence
in the hills beyond the sight
where the birds are in flight
silence
in the veil behind the mind
in the eyes of those who are blind
silence
in the ears of all who hear
the tragedy is more than we can bear
silence
whatever you touch you can't feel
and in your heart you want to steal
silence
when you stand on someone's grave
weeping though you try to be brave
silence
in your mind when it's empty of thought
lost or confused in the dark
silence
when you reach out to touch me
you realize it will never be
