Have any of you ever lost a library book and then found it after you paid the fine for it? I lost this library book when I was in the eighth grade, and then as soon as I got home when I was cleaning up I found it, and I had just paid the fine that day. Too bad it was the last day of school.

I have this book that I checked out Freshman year. I have a fine of 26.65 for it right now. I have it in my locker and still haven't returned it. Come to think of it, I really don't know why I don't just return it.

Oh yea, I've done this quite a bit. I never get books from school libraries anymore though at least after middle school.

Public library books are the worst though for me losing. I still have the voyages of doctor Dolittle from when I was in elementary school. My dog got a hold of it though and since its so old they never fined us for it. So I just took it apart and made greeting cards out of the pictures in the book.

laugh.gif How creative.

Hmm, I stopped checking out school library books because it's kind of well..pointless. We had like three or four book reports this year, so we were constantly reading some other new book.

Oh, but I still have one from the very beginning of the school year. I don't plan on reutrning it. shifty.gif They have no clue! Since, they switched librarians, the old one [now the 7th grade teacher] never gave the new librarian my card! laugh.gif whistling.gif

Yea that happened to me once. I just gave the book away. This is one of the reasons why I tend not to rent books , and there is always the fact that I always forget to turn them in.
