On ANTM and CBNTM the models are told to show expression through their eyes, because well, it's quite lovely when someone does it whether they're expressing anger, sadness, hapiness, or anything in between. When Tyra does it or the contestants on CBNTM or even just my friends, they can do it so well. But for some reason, I look like a freaking idiot doing it. stubborn.gif

What Arjuna said.

I don't look like an idiot when I attempt to do it. At least I don't think I look like one.. _unsure.gif

It amuses me that my friends and I can pretty much communicate with our eyes. We can literally tell each other stories from across the classroom. I suck at reading eyes and signs and such. Like when people mouth things. At least I know that if I have ever lose my limbs, voice, and lips my friends will still be able to understand me.

^ is expensive and since fashion is meant to be dealt with in the raw..yeaaahhh. But for editorials and what not..sure.

I can show some emotion through my eyes. Not too well, but some.

Eyes are tricky things. You may think your eyes are completely boring, but if used the right way, eyes can become seductive or intimidating tools regardless.

As for me, my eyes work for me all the time. Sometimes they're brown, sometimes they're green, sometimes they're hazel. When I'm happy my eyes are usually green or hazel.

My eyes probably wouldn't stand out too much. They look like longan seeds and also because of the bee sting in the middle of my forehead.

^Oy, as sucky as that sounds, you actually made it sound sort of pretty. (:

I've used the whole "my eyes are too dark!" thing as a reason, but I've kind of realized it takes a lot more than that.

I was practicing in the car last night, hinding half of my face and doing my supposed "happy" eyes and everyone totally thought I was angry. mellow.gif

Photoshop, believe me plenty of graphic designs have said it before it only takes 5-10 minutes to airbrush a picture and make it look amazing.

My eyes are green and brown and well I guess I never really got my eyes to stand out in pictures. Actually I haven't taken any pictures lately, but I do know what you mean Kaycee about the whole shows and stuff. I really should start watching those again >_<

I've never really tried conveying emotions in pictures... People just take photos for candid moments. And my eyes aren't exactly big, so that doesn't help either. And I'm not photogenic at all, so most pictures turn out to look like I'm frowning. stubborn.gif

But are you sure the ANTM pictures are photoshopped? I mean of course they'd photoshop their bodies, but their eyes?

I have very expressive eyes, and you can tell on film. So I guess I "smile" or "frown" or whatever with my eyes a lot.
