I'd wait a while. I'd wana make sure he was the one I wanted to give my virginity to. I'd also need to become less self concious... my rents aren't helping much with that...

I like abstinence. I'm waiting until I can support myself to even get married. I don't want to be financially dependent on anyone else but myself and the possible consequences of sex are rather bad if you can't handle it alone while taking care of yourself.
What kind of boggles my mind is that my boyfriend respects that and everything I decide to the point where I want to just go for it. FRUSTRATING I'm lucky though. |

i'd wait until i was old enough to be financially and emotionally able to deal with the potential consequences; so in other words, once i'm out of college and i have a job, at the very least. i'd like to think abstinence for me. finding out you're unexpectedly pregnant when you didn't want to be is probably scary enough without still being only a teenager living with your parents.
besides my own personal reasonings, my boyfriend would have to be responsible and respectful enough for me to even A) trust him and B) consider having sex with him. i'd wait until i dated him for at least 4 months once i had a job, out of college, etc. i wouldn't want to have sex any earlier because i'd be scared he'd use me or whatever. |

I promised myself I would wait for someone I loved. I did, and I have no regrets. |

I'd wait a while.. its not the most important thing about the relationship.
I'd make sure I could trust the person and it would be someone I'd want to spend the rest of my life with and someone who wants to spend the rest of their life with me. |

First off, I'd wait until I was over 18 and with someone I'd been with for at least six months.
I've been going back and forth with abstinence with my head, and I don't know. Sometimes I want to wait for marriage just because it will be more special, and a way to officially "consummate" the marriage, but then I don't see the point and realized that sex is just sex. Grr, see what catholic school is doing to me? But it's definitely going to be with someone I love and want to spend the rest of my life with. |

it's not even about age for me, its the fact that i wanted to be mature enough and be in a relationship with someone who i wouldnt regret losing my virginity to. i lost it last year [i was 15] after me and my boyfriend had been dating for 5 months. i don't regret it at all because i love him and we're still together after a year and 3 months.
