of discovering new bands, tv shows, movies, etc?
such as myspace, youtube, friends, which is how i discover new things.

Bands: Sometimes MySpace, sometimes by reading about them online.
TV shows: Eh, maybe the newspaper's entertainment section or seeing TV commercials.
Movies: TV commercials, newspaper ads, billboards.
