Everytime before I get my period I get sick, whether its a cold or whatever, but it always happens. Is that normal?

I get sick sometimes too. Exept not really "throwing up sick" but kind of dizziness/drowsy sick.

It might just be your hormones. It shouldn't be anything really painful or unbearing. It usually stops after you've been getting your period for a while. If it's something really painful or that keeps happening you might want to talk to a doctor about it.

i believe it is part of PMS... but i don't get it... i just get moody and pissed at everything all the time..

it is normal... but if it is still continues after a couple years after your period, you might want to consult a doctor

Nothing's really normal when it comes to your period. Yes, there are massive hormonal influxes, that can affect your mood, and even make you feel sick. If you think it affects you really badly, go see a doctor though, it could be something else, or something that can be helped.

^I agree.

Its probably just a hormonal imbalance or something along those lines. Periods and they way you feel right before them is just dumb pinch.gif I think if your really worried to go see a doctor.. I looked around on the internet a little and didn't find anything.

i dunno if this counts but i get really unbearable cramps. they are so bad that i wanna leave school. sometimes they are so bad that i just tell the nurse im feelin dizzy so that i can get sent home. getting period cramps really distracts me from doing school work and other things i want to be doing.

QUOTE(Paradox of Life @ Oct 1 2005, 7:34 AM) *
How to help minimize the pain

1. Use a hot water bottle or heating pad to help relax muscles
2. Avoid wearing tampons when your cramps are very severe
3. Exercise 30 minutes a day-

Strech out your muscles and loosen your cramps doing:
- Yoga
- Gymnastics
- Dancing
- Swimming

Get rid of frustrations and/or irritibility with:
- Kick-boxing
- Martial Arts
- Jogging
- Power walking
- Rollerblading

4. Don't lie down and feel sorry for yourself! Do something active to get your mind off cramps!

5. If you have a sore back, avoid standing for too long. Some women find that being in the fetal position helps loosen muscles.

Also, try lying on your back with your feet about 8 inches from your butt. Lift your butt off the ground so it makes a straight line beteen your shoulder and your knees.

Here are some yoga techniques:

Menstrual Cramp and Pain Relief medicines

- PMS Ease
- PMS Essentials - Hormone Balancing Formula
- Nature Sunshine's Products - Cramp Relief
- Birth Control Pill

Moved to health

I've never had that happen to me, but I'm sure its normal...when you have your period. After all, that's usually when your body and hormones get all twisted. whistling.gif
