Ok, my cousion Brandon is going to join the army in 08' and this guy that i am totally in love with is going into the navy soon. I love my cousion and Charles but I don't want them to die.
If they die, i don't know what I will do. Charles and I were planning to do stuff over summer
but all of a sudden his dad is forcing him. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all... you're associating army with death. Think of the Army as a job because that's what it is. Except you get to kill people. That's a sweet bonus.

It really all depends on what he's going for in the Army. Not all army men are in the infantry.

Secondly, the Navy. He's gonna be on a boat probably. Nothing to worry about there.

I'm in the Air Force and all of my friends...I mean all of them are like, Hey, you're gonna get killed over in Iraq.

Oh, to help you out with his dad... The person enlisting has to take an oath. The last part states 'Is any one forcing you to enlist?' If he says 'Yes' then he can do something about it. I don't know exactly what, but tell him that. Tell him, that if he doesn't want to join, then that is his only chance pretty much. Or just running away from home.
