Is it possible to stretch background pics? Options

[lovelymissphoebe]

I was curious if you could stretch the background picture to the whole of your page.... Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks!

Yeah sure - it depends what your resolution is.

CODE

<img src="URL OF BACKGROUND IMAGE HERE" width: 768px height: 1024px>

Thanks for being so quick :)

I put that code on top of my custom header, and it was taken as a banner. Where would I put that code as to be my background?

Mrrm.. I'm not sure as to how one could use the width part in the image tag for backgrounds, but if you want, I can always just resize it for you. I mean, to make it your background, you'd have to use:

CODE

<style type="text/css">
body {
background: url('IMGURL');
background-repeat: repeat-y;
background-attachment: left;
</style>

However, I don't believe you're able to stretch it with this code, only the image tag.

Hey! Thanks for that!! If you could resize it, that would be lovely. Right now it's as big as Photobucket allows, which is a tad small for my liking. here is my picture...

How big would you want it to be?

[lovelymissphoebe]

It would be great if the height=800 and the width=1000 - Does that work? I really appreciate it...

[talcumpowder]

... How big is the original?

Because, y'know, if you hit Uploading Options ... Well, you can choose larger sizes. Up to 1024 by 768 anyways, which should suit your purposes.

Alright, thanks to all of you!!! Golly Gee Wiz do I appreciate it
