Better known as "Ceres: Celestial Legend" in America. The shoujo manga was created by the famous manga artist Yuu Watase (Fushigi Yuugi, Arisu Nexus, & Imadoki). It`s an interesting story based on a girl, Aya, whose 16th birthday unwrapped a family legend. I`ve read all the way to Volume 7.
So do you guys like it =D |

The anime has different art than the manga. The manga`s art is better, I suggest you read it before you watch

I love Ayashi No Ceres! I love Ceres the most. Chidori kind of scares me from the way she acts. I also kind of drool over Toya =P LOL But yeah, I've read up to the most current volume which is 11 I believe. I can't believe the series is going to be ending soon. I'm so sad because of that. ::wants to cry:: But yeah. ::sighs:: I guess all good things come to an end eventually.

I've read the Manga. It was pretty good. I like it better than Alice 19th. Yu Watase's works are very popular and her stories are great.

I've read the whole series and I can't remember off the top of my head how many mangas there are, but it's a very good series if you're into legends and the thought of celestial beings with robes and such. It has a few twists of its own and I rather enjoyed it a lot. I've read the whole thing through about 2 or 3 times now and I still find it enjoyable. ^^ I think more females than males would like it considering all the lovely dovey stuff and not a whole lot of fighting like what would be in an action manga or anything. >.o

I love Ayashi no Ceres! I own all the volumes that have been translated so far. I actually started crying when Toya didn't remember Aya... That was so sad...

I've never seen the anime, but my friends say the english voice actors suck so if I do ever watch it I want to see it with the Japanese voice actors with the subtitles. I hate bad voice actors with a passion. v_v;

they used to show it in AXN in english subtitles. i cried a river the first time i saw it too because i thought that tooya would never remember her and that he would stay with the other girl. well, if that did happen at least yuhi was there to replace tooya when he was absent in bed. JOKE!!!

QUOTE(RoseOfBlackFlame @ Sep 16 2005, 9:26 PM) Then NEVER watch the dubbed version of the Samurai Deeper Kyo anime. It SUCKS!!! The Japanese seiyuu do a wonderfl job, but, wow... The American ones can't act for their lives... Okay, enough ranting. GO AYASHI NO CERES! Rin-chan |

OMG I LOVE that anime! I watched it sometime last year. I only have 4 volumes: Voluems 1, 2, 5, and 6. I want to collect them all but sadly, I'm broke right now. I saw all the anime though--it was so sad! I cried too at the part where I thought he'd forget. T_T I also cried at the part when Shuro was holding Kei, who was dying in her arms. It was so sad, I cried! I cried 5x more when I read the manga version.. it was really touching, despite the fact that english translated manga is supposed to be bad. Viz does really good translations.
Oooh and when Ceres asked Mikage if he ever loved her and he said yes.. I cried sooo much T_T It's so sad.. :[ A bittersweet ending, I must say. *sigh* Personally, I think Yuuhi is wayyy cuter, but Yvonne loves Toya. |
