I went to some Houston museums yesterday! They were so amazing! It was a "field trip" for the workers at my college a few professors but mostly college cordinators. We went to a Health museum, which was basically for little kids but I still got to see a real human brain! Plus the gift store was packed with really cool (and gross) stuff. My favourite museum was the Fine Arts museum. It was three stories and I didn't get to see HALF of it in two hours!!! I took an audio tour of the paintings! I could stand up close to them and see the individual brush strokes! It was so breathtaking, nothing like seeing an image on the computer or a print. I love how quiet the museums are, like libraries. I think museums and libraries are more like churches to me than a cathedral will ever be.

When was the last time you went to a museum?

(P.S. I touched all the statues even though there was a sign that said "PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH". shifty.gif )

Ugh, I think the last time I was at a museum was last year to volunteer at the Children's Discovery Museum. zipped.gif I was technically there to help facilitate an event, but some of the stuff there was so cool. laugh.gif Seriously, at the time I couldn't care less that the stuff was intended for ten year olds, they were haila fun. :D

It's been a while since I've last visited a museum. Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Natural History, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Hayden Planetarium are all museums I've visited in New York City. I want to visit them all again. Museums are fascinating and you learn so much if you take the time to read the placards than just stare at the exhibits. It can be overwhleming but it's fun. Even more fun if you go in a group. :)

Tsk, Tsk, Libi. For touching the statues. laugh.gif We should steal a statue and our getaway car will be my awesome mini-van.

Erm, anyways. I haven't been to the museum in forever. I think the last time I went was last summer. I was suppose to go to a Monet exhibit in January, but that was unsuccessful.
I really, really miss going to museums, Maybe once I am out of school, I will go a lot. haha _smile.gif

I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art yesterday. It was awesome. I love going to the Met; I was a little obsessed with it when I was in 9th grade last year. XD.gif Especially the Anglomania exhibit... It was the best thing ever. It's probably going the best exhibit the Met has ever had. It made me sad when it stopped running last September.

But uh, I also like the Museum of Natural History. I haven't been there in a few years though.

we went all around and they were very strict about entrances.

they had to check everything just like they would at an airport.

I went to the National Gallery (London) this afternoon with some people from my building. We went to afternoon tea (omg, soooo good) and then we looked around a bit. But the other people in my group weren't really looking, they were just walking through; me and my friend Jennifer got left behind a few times XD.gif

The AMNH in NYC. throb.gif
I go there about two times a month during the school year. Everyday in July. (For class.)
It's AMAZING. I love it there. Plus, I have a student ID for the AMNH, so I get to wander anywhere I want and go there early in the morning when it's supposed to be closed.
Last time I went was the 3rd. I was supposed to go on the 10th, but I forgot to. pinch.gif

There's a lot of REALLY cool museums and galleries in Chicago that I go to as often as I can. I've been to the Art Institute and the Museum of Science and Industry way too many times, but once summer rolls around, I'll head to the Field Museum and the Shedd Aquarium (I haven't been there in so long!).

I like museums, especially interactive ones, like the wax museum. I'd really like to go to Bodies Exhibition, it's different because those bodies are actually real human beings.

!!!! Haha. _smile.gif Roosevelt and Saquajawea (I know I butchered her name, shh) were so..... pedophilic but kinda romantic.

I need to go to a museum soon. Or an aquarium. Or a planetarium. I need some adventure.

I thought I was the only one to notice how creepy that was. ermm.gif Not to mention the really gay Owen Wilson relationship. laugh.gif

Because of my Art History class I went to 2 museums this year and we're going to two more in April. And more after that. I never thougnt I would but I love museums. We recently went to the Getty, which was a lot of fun. The gardens were really nice and it was fun to just sit there for a while.

I want to go to wax museum!
