the other thread was from 2004, and so many new features of both the ds lite and psp have emerged. vote on what u think NOW is better, compared to the past, or whatever. just say what u think is better, because i am considering to buy one of them. thanks.

Despite the fact of being the Nintendo fan that I am, I have to say that PSP isn't even in the same league as DS. That thing is like a miniturized laptop, lol. I love it. Far better then the DS or DS Lite.

Oh, i'm sorry I didn't realize that. But, I'd have to say the psp pwns. You can do tonnsss of stuff on that. the ds is so limited.

I heard the Original DS is much better than the lite. The only thing the latter has the advantage of is the bigger brighter screen and it's more evenly shaped.

I own a DS lite, and I think it's much better than the DS phatty. PSP is a great piece of hardware, but it doesn't have any great games. There's really only one game that I want for it that's coming out soon, which is the new Metal Gear game. The DS actually has a good library. |

I would much rather have a DS Lite. I don't like any of the PSP games at all, and I'm a huge Nintendo fan. With the PSP you have to buy the memory card, and I think the games are also more expensive. It also doesn't flip, so its screen can become scratched more easily. The DS Lite is more portable and more fun.

Sadly, disappointed yet again by Sony, my opinion has changed and I have to say DS Lite. The PSP has hardly any good games. Decent maybe, but none that really stand out. Sure, the PSP is a handheld powerhouse next to the DS, but the DS with it's innovative controls and excellent game after game, it's definitely the better console. DS just sold 30 million and the PSP has just reached 16 million.
Proof that it really is Game play > Graphics. |

I'm actually aimed towards both, since the lineup for the upcoming PSP games are pretty good, and the DS line now and before is pretty much godly, so I guess PSP has some hopes of stepping up their game.

I have both, I'll tell you that the DS (lite) has way more "fun" types games, which are good for quick little playing sessions. I can just open it up for some 5 minute fun and close it without having regrets.
PSP is like... omgwtf with the games, they have some fun ones but most are flops...i mean who the f**k wants to ride around on a ATV all day? and to watch movies and store media, you have to buy a 2 gig mem stick duo which I just bought on sale for 40$. Then you have to consider how much bulkier the psp is than the ds. |

I wouldn't mind riding around on an ATV all day if it didn't feel like a watered down console port from it's big brother with clunky controls. That's how most PSP games are.

i love my psp Same. I do wish there was a better lineup of games, however. Orginal games created soley for the PSP would be excellent too. Some of the ones coming out for 2007 look very promissing I wouldn't mind owning a DS either but most of the games don't appeal to me. The only reason I would get one at this moment is for the Final Fantasy game that just came out. |

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna sell my PSP to get a DS Lite. Unless I get a lot of cash soon and just pick up a DS Lite. I still hate that I wasted $250 on this stupid thing...

I got my psp just some time ago and I like it a lot. Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is fun but I'm waiting for Monster Hunter 2 to come out. ^_^

DS has wireless internet now with the Opera browser and the touch controls.
Goodbye awkward PSP web surfing! Consider yourself sold! |

I'm actually getting tired of my Nintendo DS. That doesn't mean PSP is better though, I guess it's a phase. I know I'd be back in DS as soon as a new game comes out. Right now I'm into Portable Ops for the PSP. Not a SOCOM fan though.

I haven't touched my DS in a while, but only because of school, and the fact that they block the ports for Nintendo WiFi.
