So, my latest Digital-Art-Class-Project is to pick a famous masterpiece or famous style and place yourself in the picture convincely.

So, being the Asian-enthuiast that I am, I chose a Japanese scroll. I need to finish the skin detailing (texture and shading), work on the black outlines, and work on my eyes. I'm using PS CS2, by the way.

Phase 1

Phase 2
Phase 2.5!

Very neat idea, and Maryland said exactly what I was going to say. The eyes are a bit blurry and the hair is a little off. Your not done though, I'm sure it will end up looking great flowers.gif

That's really neat! _smile.gif I really like the clothes, but the clothes/left eye from the figure on the far right looks kind of blurry. ): I agree with mizz_americaz. The idea is very creative. I hope to see this when it's done and I'm sure it'll be stunning. (Like always!) _smile.gif

Thanks guys - yeah I haven't really even tackled the eyes... that'll be done in the future... as well as the blurriness. It took forever just to get the skin!

I love the flower in it, and the pretty colors, this is a great choice! Keep going.

It looks terrific! But why are you blinking? XD.gif The only thing that stood out to me is how hold the outline is on the chin and lips compared to the others, but everythihng looks great, especially the skin. flowers.gif

I fixed my eyes XD.gif and the outlines.
Maryland, I honestly don't look to much like me anymore XD.gif. But I followed the basic contours nad shapes of my face and eyes. To see what I look like before, click the "Phase 1" link.

I was wondering why one of the ladies looked like she was Hakujin (Caucasian). =P

And ... Um ... This might just get to me, but the middle lady is, like, missing her legs or something. XD And her obi (that's the orange thing around her waist) is ... Um ... How do I explain this? It looks like it's higher than it should be. =X I think that might just be the way it was drawn though, or the way it was tied.

It's just, normally the top half of the bow doesn't extend upwards to your neck that much. It's not very practical. Other than that, it's beautiful. Why couldn't I have a cool class like that? XD 'cept you wouldn't even know the picture was different if you put me in. -.-U

^ I did nothing to the two ladies on the right and middle - I didn't edit the original picture at all... only the part with me in it.
