is it weird to like to, hang out with guys more than girls? Options

my mom always teases me about it "geesh lisa stop bragging about your boyfriends!!" and i hate it. but i love hanging out with boys :D they're more independant about things. like doing or joining something. a lot of my girl friends (notice i said my, so im not assuming things for other people) are emotional, obviously, and i can handle that, and they do the "ill join if you join" thing. i find it annoying. oh yeah, but one of the good things about girls, you can be like "can i have a pad?" or anything that guys would go o_O" and they would understand ^ ^. so i have both guy and girl friends :D so i am NOT saying girl friends are bad. but i only wish that they would please learn how to have fun when everyone is. some of my friends are very emotional in a negative way, and them giving off that negative vibe is tiring for me. im not a person that likes moody situations like a girl always obsessing about a guy or bf. i even have a guy friend thats like that and i find kinda creepy :/ its like... your a GUY just cuz you were dumped twice in ur life doesnt mean ur life is over. and then he always comes back at me saying that i wouldnt know how he feels. of course i wouldnt know. im not him. im very practical. so i can be mean if i had to, cuz people are so whiny, and i usually dont show that side of myself. so if i do, people say "you changed lisa... ur agressive now" and i also hate that. :sigh: sry bout the tangent. well anyways, does anyone prefer guy friends more than girls? if so, why? and if not, why not?

Oh man, I know how you feel.

I personally perfer guy friends all the way. They're so much more fun! They got the stupid jokes that crack me up. Even the pervertedness is amusing.

And for some reason, the girls at my school all got that biotchy attitude except for the small amount of female friends I have. But even then, they aren't as close as my guy friends.

So, to me, guys are just more fun. Girls tend to whine alot about all their problems. They can be fun sometimes too, but for me, guys are always fun.

About 80% of my friends are guys. Most times, I can't stand females. Plus, guys are so much more fun to hang out with. And they don't talk about make up, clothes and "OMGOMG THAT GUY'S SO HOTTT!!!!!!!1111".

oooo yea one more thing my boyfriend is my BEST FRIEND since i can tell him anything even girl problems! becuase we have this bond it's all good to tell each other "ugh i feel crappy cuz i have my period" so yea he is used to it because not only is he the love of my life he's also my very good friend and i trust hime even more then the other 2 that are girls ...if that helps?

I've always had way more guy friends the gal friends. Growing up I was into comic books and video games and back then, not that many girls were into that sort of thing (at least not many that I knew of at the time).

That's exactly like how I am! Guys are just so much fun.

And like how everyone else said, girls are so dramatic. It's like, they're having problems yet it's giving me a headache. With guys its like, "Hey man, lets go skate!" And I'm just like, "Hell yeah!"

everyone used to be like "omgahhh you hang out with only BOYSSS!?!?!111ONEONEONE" but that was back in like 7-9 grade, now it`s a little more accepted or they`re used to it. my best friends are guys. they`re somuchless whiny than girls, and more real about stuff.

Speaking from personal experinces and preferences..

I like hanging out with guys more because
it's easy to be sarcasticly mean to them and joke around
and like never4ever said, most of them are laid back about things.
Good laughs good times.. They make fine friends if you want
to have a good hah-hah time. Only bad side is how perverted
things can get, not to mention the outragous amount of
the talks revolve around games..

Girls are usually more sensitive so I tend to be more polite, friendly
and have a higher tolerance for them then I do for guys. I also have
more in common with girls as far as feelings go .. And gosh can female
friends be real sweethearts and fun to talk to at times!

But once relationships gets involved.. With some usually
it spelled trouble at some point with them and depending
on how close you are to them sometimes you get sucked into it as well.

My bf haaates the fact that I have more guy friends than girl friends... I just get along with them better and plus, I grew up with these guys. We were in diapers and wrestling already and so they're more like brothers than anything else, you know what I mean? The bf hates it though, says that there is no such thing as a guy and girl friendship... one person is always wanting more in the relationship but whatever.

I don't think theres anything really wrong with being a girl and hanging out with more guys. Guys are a bit more laid back then girls so sometimes its a good thing to have guy friends. I can see where it could be a bad thing somewhat, like if you were to have a boyfriend and always hang out with guys. But they should hate the fact if you manage your time correctly between your friends/family/ and relationships.

Haha, it's pretty much obvious when I have my period. I take everything out on one specific. And if he really pisses me off, I need to shout, "LEAVE ME ALONE! I'M PMS-ING RIGHT NOW." It's so ridiculous.
