So haven't been around in a while; have been equally inactive in actually making any layouts but got back into it a couple days ago and here's the result

- Myspace.

Am having trouble with the comment link; it just decided to stop working one day in the old layout, before I ever touched the code, but other than that, it should be alright in both FF and IE. Best view 1024x768.

Saying that, there's a horizontal scrollbar in IE which I can't seem to get rid of. Comments welcome - and yes, for those of you who do remember my stuff, finally, a piece without the ever present Jensen Ackles.

I like the images you used and how you put them together. I'm not a fan of the brushes going all over the image. Also, the font used as your navigation, in my opinion it looks a bit tacky. But overall, nice work.

Glad to see more stuff from you _smile.gif

I don't mind the brushes on the image, but I think they should be more subtle. It seems to me that in most of the layout's you've submitted to the Showcase you only have one area for text... it's not a critique more of an observation. I really like how clean the image in. I would suggest centering it and maybe when you add content to tie in the red and blue in some way.

Thanks for the comments guys; much appreciated - one never knows how one is going to be received after an absence (even if I was never one of the more popular posters)

Showstopper! - what do you mean by tacky? I figured that, having gone for quite dramatic fonts for the title, I needed something more straight forward and toned down.

Whimsical One - it's true I only have one area for text; think I'm lacking imagination enough to integrate more than one into my layouts. I also just don't see a use for it. I don't really use Myspace, I just use it because it keeps me brushed up on coding. I know what you're saying about the red and blue though, and the brush over the image was actually a random new thing I tried with the clone stamp tool.

Anyways, thanks again for the comments, much appreciated.

The layout is fantastic...I especially like what you did with the image; very creative. I would have to agree about the font you used for your navigation...I wouldn't necessarily say tacky, but it looks a bit out of place. And I see what you mean about that random scrollbar, but oh well...it really doesn't take away since you focus more on the picture. Great job!

the border doesn't seem to match with the layout.

Clareybear, thanks for your compliments, very kind of you. I shall look to changing that font, though I still stand by simple and straight forward. This is why external output is a much valued commodity.

Moorepocket, do you mean the border around my content? I am getting rid of that, or re working it or something. It just looks too busy on my page right now.
