Alright, I didn't find any topic about this. So if there is, sorry =[

I was wondering if anyone here plays SilkRoad? I'm still a newbie =]

I did for a while, but never got into that game for one reason or another.

In my opinion, it wasn't really challenging in terms of levelling up since the quest system pretty much walks you through the first 20 levels. After that, the PVP is kind of fun, but basically the game turns into a skill point farming competition at that point unless you have a bunch of friends to party with. In that case gathering Exp/SP becomes less tedious.

However that's just a personal opinion which shouldn't influence your views on the game. I still recommend to give it at least a 30 day test period to see if you get hooked up. =)

Lol! It's only fun if you're playing with people you can have fun with. Otherwise, yeah, it's pretty boring.

My Silkroad outburts tend to last about 5 days, which gets me to level 16/20 depending on what style of character I choose to play. Although right now I have uninstalled the game too, and I doubt I will return any time soon =X.

Levelling up is slightly easier now that they give a 50% and 100% xp card for every new character you make (I think). However, after that it's all about grinding and that makes the game boring in the end unless you consistently train in parties.

Dude! I played that all the time when I was a kid. laugh.gif

But, no, I don't play Silk Road. If it's like Oregon Trail, I might try it for old times sake. happy.gif

Silk Road has a more complex character development system, as well as it's technically superior to Oregon Trail.

Still, the later game was more fun to play than Silk Road is.

I stopped at level twenty-something but it was fun while me and my many friends from school were all playing then we just all stopped. Nothing like simple one star trade runs, having to deal with ai thieves and other monsters -_-

I have never had the will to get any character past level 20 but I was under the impression the game would turn more fun once you start playing a class, be it Merchant, Thief or Hunter.

I played Silk Road for a while...

But then I stopped....

I still remember when they erected that humongous Christmas tree during Christmas.

If it's the account registration process what is giving you trouble, solving the issue shouldn't be too complicated.

If you are having trouble logging in the game, then that may be trickier to get to work. However if your computer meets the demanded hardware and software requirements, it's probably just a matter of tweaking the settings.

I remember seeing somewhere in between the Ravine and China West Ferry, these thieves killing merchants and hunters. They didn't stand a chance. =\ What server you all play on? Maybe I'll get back into it for a while.
