We all seem to fail
Our bodies becoming frail
We are a disappointment to the pale
Where did we lose our goal and purpose?
Things so worthwhile
Suddenly became so worthless
I’ve admitted nothing
But yet still write verses
A mere thought on paper
To sudden lyrical urges
I’ve lived for 12 years
And some odd months
I’ve barely had breakfast
How can I move onto lunch?
How are we to move mountains?
When society dictates life
My conscience died somewhere
What is wrong and right?
All the greats in the world
Look down at night
When we sleep and dream
They see our thoughts
In despair and disappointment
Their wisdom slowly rots
Ill planted seeds -
We have done them wrong
Another angel lies dead
While more devils come along
Pitiful people pathetically pass
Day to day
How long will this life last
But who is to say
We live with every breathe
We’re sleepers to life
But servants to death
