cB should hire more often. It does a remarkably good job of bringing back the interesting members.

No, that only happens because the hiring session doesn't happen that often, dummy.

I don't know if you should be hired with that tone of voice.

I Shot JFK -
This is what you put:
If I am hired, I promise to give my full and frank opinions on any issue which it should fall to the moderators to discuss. This is above all, I believe, the essential quality for building a diverse team which considers potential problems from all angles, and therefore arrives at the best possible solution. I have been a dedicated member for almost exactly two years (Jan 16th =P), and although recently i have been too busy to visit the site as much as i would have liked, but now that things have settled somewhat for me, I would really like to work as part of the Staff Team, and to give back to Cb in the best way that I know how.

This is what it should have been:
If I am hired, I swear to stop being a dick to everybody and work on my own grammar before I critique others for their accidental miscalculations. I promise to work on my self-centered, egotistical bullshit and stop treating people like I've got a stick up my ass they just keep twisting. If you haven't noticed, I'm a big suck up douche bag with nothing else to talk about than someone's grammatical errors. So please give me this little bit of power and authority that I swear to abuse and exercise as much as I possibly can while alienating and humiliating anyone and everyone who dares to mock me or my personal preferences. Is there a Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy in place? Thank You.
who are you, and when have i ever noticed your existence, let alone been unpleasant to you?

I would also like to point out that me being called a 'suck up' in the context of cb made me snort orange juice trough my nose...

Ah well... so, I take it you're not a massive fan then, mystery man?

princess*missy - You seem nice, but you also seem pretty new. I'll admit I haven't seen you around at all until today and looking at your ppd, it doesn't look like you've been active that much. And you might want to write in one color, it would look much nicer. Anyways, I think you should wait till next time deary.

Michael (Mipadi), James, Kryo, Kathleen, Anna, Seon Ho, and Mr. Acid.

Haven't these people proved that they are the foundation of CB in one way or another? Look at cB's History and know that I'm not exaggerating! Remember cB News? cB Revolution? Debates? Writing? Photography? They exert intelligence, humor, confidence, and animating personalities, and each unique and strong.

Personally, I don't think I can tire of praising them. They are the people I remember of when I think about the good cB days, not the people who LoLed and agreed with me when they don't even know what I'm talking about, nor the ones that are always so sugary sweet that they give me a digital tooth ache. I think though, these guys are often misunderstood because they are so unique and interesting.

Sure, most of them have caused trouble, big trouble, but they have also contributed to what make cB exciting and enhanced its sense of community, friendship, and practical jokes. Their legacy goes hand in hand with their infamy and one should not look at them without both the bad and the good.

These guys don't do false modesty, nor will they fall and be lost in the crowd of yes-men.

Let's see. The foundations of CB. Intelligent. Strong. Loyal (see how long they've been around!). Interesting. HECK YES, I THINK THEY'RE QUALIFIED to be on staff.

^ I'd definitely support her if she applies, as well.

I also strongly support Michael (mipadi) and Justin (sadolakced acid), both of whom have proven their capability as moderators in the past and themselves stepped down due to personal reasons which they knew might have affected their performance (actually I'm assuming on Michael's part, but this part applies to Fae as well).

If James (kryogenix) is serious about his application, I believe he should be considered because of his past as a moderator. Although many of his posts now seem.. er.. lacking in seriousness (which, I am well aware, illustrates the point that cB has lost its sense of humor), I'm fairly sure (only fairly because I've never personally talked to him) that he'd be just as helpful as a moderator as before.

It's well know that James (I Shot JFK) and I are good friends, but that's not the reason I think he deserves to be a staff member--to be quite honest, I've always felt he's deserved a place on staff, even before we befriended each other in August-ish. He speaks his mind, and sure he loses his temper once in a while and overreacts, but it sure as hell isn't as bad as it used to be. It's not a secret that he's gone backstage (as have I), but what has it harmed? It's because he genuinely cares about where cB is headed.

Also, it's also known that Kathleen and I are friends, but again, that's not the reason I support her for staff as well. Only the people involved know what really happened when she was demodded a couple months ago, and I think it's safe to say that we (I won't name names, but I think the few of you know who you are) have gotten over it. I know some of you support Kathleen as well, because she has a history of being an amazing staff member. Her stepping down the first time illustrates responsibility on her part (ie see first paragraph) and her being demodded the second time was because of something completely unrelated to her performance (and was a tad harsh, as well).

And, just to complete the set, Anna does herself a disserice by not mentioning her own strengths. Again, it is no secret that we have been friends for a good few months now, but even before we started really talking, she was someone I respected, and had the pleasure of working with on CbNews, as well as other projects. She is applying for Livejournal staff, something which it is evident from her contributions that she will be more than well suited to, but will also help the site immensly by participating in the community-related aspects of backstage work. She knows Cb, and cares about where it is headed, and should be put on staff in an instant.

Whimsical One - Little Miss Sunshine sucked. If a kid had not talked for a year, his first words could not be a scream or he'd irreparably damage his voice box. Haha. Mull that one over for a while. You think you don't care now but the next time you see it, it'll remind you and it will stay there until the day you just can't stand to watch it anymore.

Mmk? What does that have to do with my application?

Princess Missy - You are extremely new, I think you need to post around the community a little bit more and get out there more before having the oppurtunity as staff.

I suppose next time their going to do a post requirement as well?
