DUDE. Quarantine applied. I have (been) noticing this girl for ever, and she rocks. Seriously. She'd make an AWESOME addition to design-y staff team. She's helpful and patient and doesn't explode with lots of !!!!'s, like what i'd do. Thank you, I'm pleased to know that you think I'd make an "AWESOME addition" ( OMG. hire Lucy (Quarantine.) She is the bomb.I've seen her EVERYWHERE. She's in the xanga, the myspace, and in the lounge. And probably a bunch of other places that I don't know about. She's a really good designer too, but she doesn't give herself enough credit. I remember seeing some things that she made in photoshop back in august, and I was completely jealous and thought that she'd make a better mod than me. Which, she would. So, LUCY! LUCY! LUCY! Okay I'm done now :] Haha, yes I do tend to be in a lot of area's in the forum. And I'm very glad, that you think I'd make a good mod. Lucy(Quarantine). WHY? Because she`s everywhere and she can handle it unlike some people. Like before, I do tend to hang a lot in multiple threads, and i'll have to admit I can handle a lot of stress, etc. Thank you all for the feedback/encouragements. |

I'll add on to this feedback. I've seen Lucy about for quite some time now, and she's always caught my interest. From her sassy username to her attitude toward cB and cBers. This girl is mod material. I do hope you get modded, mdear.

Anna - As I have previously stated, I feel she would make a good moderator (although I don't know why she didn't apply for people staff). She is active and helpful in the resource forums and everywhere else. The only thing I question is her temperment. There were a number of reasons, actually. To be quite honest, though, the main one was probably a strategical one. Statistically, I'd have more of a chance with a design position than a community position merely because of the tentative number of positions available coupled with the amount of applicants fighting for those seats. I would've applied for people staff if I had a higher chance of getting it; as it is, though, I'm "fighting," per se, for one that I'm just as equally, if not more, qualified for and have a better chance of earning. I could actually settle for any position, but with a design position, I think I'm more prone to not lash out, being as how it's definitely less politically involved, at least cB-wise. While cB started out as a design-oriented forum, sadly, it seems that now it's more community-focused. The design forums are lagging, and oftentimes (livejournal) questions go unanswered. Also, sometimes it seems that items in the queue take a while to get to and I'd like to help remedy it. Azarel - You sound like you have a great attitude and could be a good addition to the design part of the staff. You seem very mature and sound like you know what your talking about when it comes to certain matters. You meet the requirements of having an official member status and 10.4 ppd. I think you should contribute more layouts perhaps, atleast a LJ one since thats the position you would like to be in. I see your very helpful with myspace stuff as well, thats a good thing to be knowledgable in two different places in the resource center. Going through your posts though you haven't really posted that much in the past few days as much as the other applicants. Personally, I think it would be great for the staff to promote you to LJ staff, since there isn't any and it looks like its a bit needed and you seem to know your facts. Looks like sometimes you can be a bit irked and start rashing out at someone, I'm sure you could possibly fix that if you were put on staff. I'd submit layouts had I a copy of photoshop on my laptop, being as how I only have it on my desktop about a hundred miles away from where I'm currently residing. I'm getting to it, since I haven't downloaded ANYTHING in the past five months for fear of getting my Ethernet port in my dorm shut off.I wish you the best of luck To address the other bolded point, I'm still transitioning into the first days of my winter quarter, so I'm in the process of falling into a schedule and making time for cB as well. Even though I may not have posted every day, I have come to the site and read threads; also, I'd like to point out that while I may not seem to have been very active for the past few days, LiveJournal activity is also pretty slow. Not that it excuses me in any way, I'm just saying. |

QUOTE I'm "fighting," per se, for one that I'm just as equally, if not more, qualified for and have a better chance of earning. err..thanks. though, I don't see why we both can't be hired. honestly, neither of us is a "master" of lj anyway. I'd rather we both get promoted. It would make everything easier. I just saw that Justin applied, and I remember when he was a mod, and I really haven't seen a better people staff than he was. I don't know the reasons for why he stepped down/was demodded, but I don't know anyone else who deserves the position more. |

Sophie has some of the best posts I've seen a long while, but she's literally only been here a couple of weeks. She's off to an excellent start in becoming a great part of the community, but she needs more time and experience.

Marzipan - Marzipan, I must say it seems a little ironic that you try to force the fact that you are a social, outgoing person and yet you are gunning for a position as a web site forum moderator. It seems to me that someone as forward and outgoing as you would have better things to do.
x1227x - You seem like someone who has a classic case of power trip syndrome. If your so anxious to have some kind of authority, buy a dog or a Chinese baby. That'll keep you busy for a few years until he goes off to Tech school at the ripe old age of 13. My Cinderella - I feel bad for you. My life's ambition is to be a writer, but I guess yours is equally respectable. Go out and live the life you have. Some day you will look back and and say "Wow, 11.5 ppd really hasn't helped me get a paying job or find the truckdriving Mr. Right I just know is out there somewhere." fallingstar - You want this job? You think you got what it takes? Well by golly you go out there and be the bestest darn Xanga staff member you can possibly be. You just be so good, just so good cause your so gosh dang special. Be special. Special. insomniac - Well, I'm gonna one up your woot with a yaaya! I understand you just graduated from college. Is it possible that your only applying for this job cause you cant find a real one? If you don't fit the qualifications, why bother trying? Frankly I find your efforts rather obtuse and trivial. Whimsical One - Little Miss Sunshine sucked. If a kid had not talked for a year, his first words could not be a scream or he'd irreparably damage his voice box. Haha. Mull that one over for a while. You think you don't care now but the next time you see it, it'll remind you and it will stay there until the day you just can't stand to watch it anymore. I Shot JFK - This is what you put: If I am hired, I promise to give my full and frank opinions on any issue which it should fall to the moderators to discuss. This is above all, I believe, the essential quality for building a diverse team which considers potential problems from all angles, and therefore arrives at the best possible solution. I have been a dedicated member for almost exactly two years (Jan 16th =P), and although recently i have been too busy to visit the site as much as i would have liked, but now that things have settled somewhat for me, I would really like to work as part of the Staff Team, and to give back to Cb in the best way that I know how. This is what it should have been: If I am hired, I swear to stop being a dick to everybody and work on my own grammar before I critique others for their accidental miscalculations. I promise to work on my self-centered, egotistical bullshit and stop treating people like I've got a stick up my ass they just keep twisting. If you haven't noticed, I'm a big suck up douche bag with nothing else to talk about than someone's grammatical errors. So please give me this little bit of power and authority that I swear to abuse and exercise as much as I possibly can while alienating and humiliating anyone and everyone who dares to mock me or my personal preferences. Is there a Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy in place? Thank You. krnxswat a.k.a. Sean Ho - Sean Ho, the legend, the antagonist of CB, the one all must fear. f**k You. I've been thinking long and hard of what to say and frankly, it's not worth the time. Then I thought, no it is worth the time. What can I say that hasn't already been said other than I forgive you. It's not your fault. Every semi-popular teen-drama or reality show has one. THE BAD BOY. The one that stirs the mix, that creates the drama. Without you, what would CB be other than enjoyable. I understand. You're not trying to be an a-hole, you HAVE to be an a-hole. But please, for all involved, do not try to self-proclaim yourself as immature. The very act itself suggests maturity. Hence you are not immature, just a jackass. Catch-22. p.s. YOU SUCK. Next. Azrael a.k.a. Annie a.k.a. the bitch with a dick - ok, I'm not sure about you. If we had met under different circumstances, I'd probably ask you out. As it stands, you are the enemy of a friend, which makes you my enemy. Do not be jealous of those who are superior to you. You know of who I speak. Peasants should never meet the eyes of their betters. Gain some self confidence, go out into the world and find your place. I will see you at DQ for a fudgesicle. uronacid - YOU WON'T GET THIS JOB!! Paintball on Tuesday. See ya there. Cluck You - I hope that Jesus can help you along your path. God spelled backwards is dog and dog is man's best friend. It's not a coincidence. Jesus came down for us...Stem Cell Research is the Devil!! If we don't destroy the rain forests, we'll die from melanomas. Medicine is a farce. Only Jesus can heal you. Support the troops. We need oil to kill the Indians. And the sea turtles. They hid the weapons of Mass Destruction before we got there. They did exist. And George W. Bush has to be the greatest American who ever lived. Better than Clinton and Lincoln mixed together. p.s. ABORTION IS A MAN'S CHOICE. GO DO THE DISHES AND COOK. SERVE GOD'S PURPOSE FOR YOU. These people deserve the Job - *Graduation Music* a painfull euphoria T0rmented_Soul tic tac. kryogenix mipadi intercourse sadolakced acid Everyone I Skipped - You are not important. You are not original. Everything you've ever done, everything you find yourself proud of, there are thousands of others who can do it better and more efficiently. Suck It... |

Michael (Mipadi), James, Kryo, Kathleen, Anna, Seon Ho, and Mr. Acid.
Haven't these people proved that they are the foundation of CB in one way or another? Look at cB's History and know that I'm not exaggerating! Remember cB News? cB Revolution? Debates? Writing? Photography? They exert intelligence, humor, confidence, and animating personalities, and each unique and strong. Personally, I don't think I can tire of praising them. They are the people I remember of when I think about the good cB days, not the people who LoLed and agreed with me when they don't even know what I'm talking about, nor the ones that are always so sugary sweet that they give me a digital tooth ache. I think though, these guys are often misunderstood because they are so unique and interesting. Sure, most of them have caused trouble, big trouble, but they have also contributed to what make cB exciting and enhanced its sense of community, friendship, and practical jokes. Their legacy goes hand in hand with their infamy and one should not look at them without both the bad and the good. These guys don't do false modesty, nor will they fall and be lost in the crowd of yes-men. Let's see. The foundations of CB. Intelligent. Strong. Loyal (see how long they've been around!). Interesting. HECK YES, I THINK THEY'RE QUALIFIED to be on staff. |
