afflict.x - I really don't know why you think I don't have a Myspace account. At the moment I am currently on hiatus, but I assure you I have had an account long before I joined Createblog. Createblog was the place to contribute, so I started designing at an early age and whenever I made a design I contributed to Createblog.

I'm still iffy on Tina and James (I Shot JFK). I feel like they'd make awesome mods, but maybe it's because they've never been mods before. I guess I'd have to see it to believe it. Meh.

You never know until you actually see us mod. tongue.gif

Tina (tic tac.)- Last time I wasn't so sure, but this hiring she has really stood out. thumbsup.gif

Thanks, Jackie. _smile.gif

Mike - Also no. Just a note Mike, replying to rejected skins with "You have no idea what you're talking about, my skins are amazing. Everyone loves them! Look they have 100 favorites! You're an idiot and a waste of life." is not the best way to get hired. Besides having issues with him personally, I don't think he is talented design-wise, and he has broken waaaayy to many rules to be considered for staff.

I'm going to have to agree with that. Just because something gets tons of views doesen't mean it's always good. wink.gif I don't think graphically that his skins are that great, either. Most of his posts don't seem to be very special considering lots of them are saying "OMG THAT LAYOUT IS PRETTY. I WILL TOTALLY USE IT."

Uhm, no offense Ranniel but I've been talking to Ricky since he got on createblog. And Ricky has been a member on createblog since Jan. 2006 so you obviously didn't know him before that. And if you clearly check his myspace:
http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...iendID=20558964

hes had it since July 2005. blink.gif

Thats the only reason why I find it a little weird that you said what you said..

Immature? Or Im...pressive...amature?

When I become mod, I will be serious business.

blink.gif What was that supposed to mean?

I probably shouldn't be doing this, but I just had to add in my opinion..

I don't believe that a paragraph is enough to prove that you deserve to be on staff. You have to show that you deserve it. But, most of the people applying [I'm referring to people staff, mostly] haven't shown it.

Krista: I know you made a mistake last time, but everyone deserves a second chance, right? So far, you haven't showed that you deserve the second chance.
Ann: I've yet to see the dedication and passion in actions.
Jane: I think you're quite ready. Just cut back on a bit of the shorter replies though. I know you have some good opinions and ideas. thumbsup.gif
Stephanie: I have seen you post quite a bit in Xanga help and technically you're ready to be on staff. I'm not really sure about your maturity level.
anime.essence: You make a lot of contributions and help out a lot. I think you're qualified and would probably do well.
Diana: Stop with the chef-to-moderator comparing. It just ruins your chances. 16 hours a day? 8 hours to sleep, mod cB, and do other things? Don't think so. I don't understand half of your posts most of the time and I get confused.
Rachel: She knows what's going on and how things go. I think she deserves it. thumbsup.gif
Mike: Whoops almost typed cookie there. sweating.gif I WANT MORE OF THOSE POSTS! *points at post complimenting James*
Shelby: Like many others, you should start showing that you deserve it. But I bow down to you, oh worthy one. worthy.gif
James (I Shot JFK): I know he's had some problems, but I believe he can do much to improve this community. Like Mike said, he's not afraid to speak his mind.
Mel: I know you've had experience, but cB is much different from that. I know this has been said many times to you (and maybe in different ways..) but mature a little, okay?
Seon Ho & Kryo: Well, that would be interesting, wouldn't it?
Anna: I think I've already said this, but she deserves it. She's been picking up the slack in the resource center and she knows what she's doing.
Josh: Whatever you're applying for, I don't think you're fit for the job.

I know I missed some people, but I haven't really been able to look around the resource center that much. pinch.gif

.. Ok, I'm done. *goes to dumpster*

That wasn't offensive...
I just never encountered your before but when I glanced over your posts...
You seemed like staff material to me...
Sorry ermm.gif

Continuing!

WHIMSICAL 0NE - Hmm I'm quite surprised your not an official member, you have 5 posts per day and you have way over 200 posts, did you never bother to go for it or something? I think your perfectly qualified for the position your applying for. Going throughout your posts you really show a true joy of helping people and your extremely patient with people, great quality to have for the position I'm sure. You seem like a pretty nice person as well by reading some of your posts throughout the community center. Anyway good luck to you, I honestly hope you get the position flowers.gif

Maestro - You seem very well qualified, since you said you have been a former moderator on other forums. You seem like you would be very skilled for the position by reading your application. By looking at your contributions you seem to really know how to code xanga layouts, and have a good just of how to make a layout fuctional with a design. You've always contributed scripts which is a nice touch. wink.gif Now I went through your posts and I came to see that you've only posted in the xanga forums 3 out of 50 of your posts. You are extremely active in the community forums though, which if hired for xanga staff would be a nice touch to be well known around the community.

incoherent - Application wise, you seem like you have a little to much of an attitude to accept critcism that you may receieve while being on staff. I hope this doesn't rub you the wrong way or anything I'm just being honest. I think its nice that you have contributed something to the resource center, but its only 2 layouts and design wise they aren't that great looking. pinch.gif I went through the first 3 pages of your most recent posts, and in all of those 3 pages you didn't post once in the xanga forums. I mean if you really want to be on xanga staff I think you need to show some kind of initiative to post in there atleast...

anime.essence - By your application you seem like a good person that knows what thier talking about when it comes to myspace stuff. By looking at your contributions it really shows that you do know what your talking about and could be a big help to people that may have any problems when it comes to myspace. Also you contribute a lot of layouts which is a good thing, which means you should know what should be accepted or rejected when it comes to the que. The only thing you do have a real problem with is being active, I think you need to be a bit more active to the community and to the myspace forums atleast. Since one of the requirments is to atleast have 5 ppd and you kind of only have 1.2. I think even if you were to get the position you would probably be a lot more active and get the post count up. But I think it may have looked even better if you had that as well.

be back later.

Thanks alot for the comments.

I only posted 3 times because there were only like three topics that needed answering in. Usually if there are a bunch of topics that need answering, I usually answer them. Xanga Help is the first forum I visit everyday.

robbie, i agree with you. i myself feel i need to mature a bit more and i dont really expect that ill be one this time as ive only been on here for 2 months.so if i dont make it im not gonna really sweat about it nor will i be bitter or heartbroken about it either beacuse im still really new and stupid on here laugh.gif besides there are people like tina who have atempted a couple of times and have been here longer than i have who really deserve a chance.
so thanks happy.gif

marzipan - Well you've already been on staff from what I believe after reading your application. Seems like you really learned from that experience and you know how to manage your time better. I think you should probably have another chance and be on staff again. I think your really confident and ready to make a change and you know how to do it. And since you were hired before then there has to be some kind of obvious good reason in you. happy.gif

Thank you! _smile.gif

My opinions on the People Staff candidates:

Krista - I respect you tremendously because you acknowledge your past weaknesses. I say yes. You've been here for a while and you've experienced being a moderator. I have never seen you once lose your cool.

Thank you Robbi! _smile.gif

Two things I want to emphasize to applicants and future applicants are personality and attitude. Being a moderator isn't just about opening/closing/moving/merging/etc. threads and the staff shouldn't be looking for threads to moderate. No one is going to test your clicking skills. Therefore, it's important to make yourself stand out. Be yourself, form your own opinions and stand up for them, while keeping in mind that you should be respectful to others and their ideas and opinions.

If you say you're mature, show it. If you say you're active, show it. If you say you're skilled/helpful, show it. If you say you have great ideas, post them and show us that you do indeed have great ideas. Don't wait until you're modded to do such things because you may not even get that chance.

Good luck to all.

Thank you. To answer why I'm not an Offical Member, I had every intention to become one. I was going to become one, but then decided to apply for Myspace Staff and I guess I got a bit lazy.

Adding to this, it would be nice to see Michael back on staff.

So, again, my picks for people staff (excluding myself, as i obviously would like to be hired) are Tina, Rachel, and Michael, and Jane depending on the number of people you're looking for, as well as Anna and Kathleen in the design department

Just so people will know, Kathleen is considering coming back into the running. I think she is qualified enough to be considered so hopefully she will come back. If not, well, she's still awesome , so yeah.
