ok well i got my wisdom teeth taken out.... and yah it was horrible. i made a post a few weeks ago asking about getting them taken out and if its really that bad... and well heres my story...

so i went there right... and the place i went to was near a church and so it was 10:00 and the bells were going off but they had like this depressing like walk of death kinda sound... and the whole time it took me to walk in to the oral surgins office i could hear it and i dunno ik it was gonna be horrible. so i got in there and i was sitting in the chair and this nurse comes over and puts these two weird looking like claps on my wrists (they didnt hurt) but then she hooked up these three wires to them yahh it was kinda weird then of course there were the two pointer finger things they always put on u when ur in a hospital and whatnot. and then put an oxygen mask on me. i hated that ... so then my oral surgin comes in and my heart was beating so fast and i started crying and hes like are u the most nuvous about the needle (i was but just the thought of being knoked out while there doing tha to me creeped me out) so he tied my arm put the needle in and it wasnt soo bad. until i got knoked out. ok well this is where it gets horrible. before they were finished pulling my last tooth out i woke up. not completly of course but enough to hear it and feel it a little bit i started crying and so since i was like half knocked out i remmeber them waking me up completly but when i was waking up i couldnt breath. they were telling me to breath out of my nose but i couldnt so i kept trying to breath out of my mouth. i got really really cold andi started shaking really bad and hyperventalating. (i get panic attacks and i think this was one of them) so i was sitting there holding on to the arm rests for about 3 minutes bairly breathing and so they took the oxygen mask off and when i looked down at my legs they were like blue. (cuz i was so cold) so they rushed me into the recovery room .... it took me about 45 minutes to actually be able to breath right.

then i gradually got up and went home.

figured id tell u guys... dont kno if anyone cares but its just a weird story...

has that happened to anyone else??

Omg! I read the whole story. It sounds horrible!! At least you're okay now, right?? I never want to get my wisdom teeth pulled out. The same thing actually happened to one of my teachers only it was jaw surgery and she woke up when they were still operating on her. And she started screaming, so they had to tranquilize her again. cry.gif ermm.gif

I've never had surgery, so I don't have much input on that. I guess that's a good thing.

haha yahh thats not such a good idea... my step mom waited a until she was 40 to get hers taken out and she was in more pain becuase they had to work harder to get them out. also if u wait longer they can screw up ur mouth (push ur teeth, headaches, soar throats).. soo its a good idea to get them taken out as soon as possible.. im only 16 and mine wernt even showing yet but they were impacted so they needed to go!

When my cousin got his done, he had some kind of reaction to the medicine they gave him for the pain and that triggered some kind of infection and he had to have other operations done to his mouth to get rid of it. He spent about a month recovering and had to drop out of school for it. Scary eh? After reading your story thought I might share that too, but don't let it freak you out, it was an allergic reaction. I get panic attacks too, really bad sometimes, I can hardly even get regular shots. I'm not afraid of them or anything, but something in my mind makes me all shaky and then I can't breathe. Luckily for me I probably don't have to have my wisdom teeth out, my dentist says there's enough room right now. Hopefully that won't change.

Geezus.
I'm supposed to get mine pulled before school starts because My dentist told me that I don't have any more room for my wisdom teeth to grow in.
So I have to get four teeth cut out even though none of them pushed all the way through the gums yet.
UGH.
I HATE the dentist and anything that has to do with people messing with my teeth. It's the reason I don't eat candy and never will. Never had any cavaties. and I only have one filling because of a chipped tooth.

I don't trust the dentist and never will.

Holy crap blink.gif.

Anyways, wooow. That was such a interesting, scary story about having your wisdom teeth pulled out. Oh my God, if I was in your situation, I would be as scared as hell. I can't believe your legs turned blue!!!

Ahhhhhhh. You woke up when they were still operating? Jesus.

I had all 4 of mine removed last year, a week before my birthday. It really wasnt that bad. I had alot of problems though with the open holes in my mouth, from where they removed my wisdom teeth. I had problems with getting food caught up in them. So I had to go back to the surgeon a few times... and they finally gave me a surenge to flush them out with.

Then 2 months later, I developed an infection in one. They had to go in and flush out the hole 2 days before homecoming. sad.gif
